The Manila Standard, a broadsheet, published its rankings of the Top Celebrity Endorsers of 2009. Needless to say, I agree with most of the stars in the rankings. Kris Aquino fell to no. 2 from the top spot in 2008. The Megastar Sharon Cuneta tops the list in 2009, this despite the reported dismal box-office returns of her movies of late, most notably, the MMFF 2009 entry, Mano Po 6. Surprising is Pop Princess Sarah Geronimo, who only ranked at no. 8 when at almost every turn, you see her endorsing a product or two. Even more surprising is Kim Chiu who ranked at no. 4 behind Manny Pacquiao, considering her body frame, she is actually endorsing several food products.

Anyway, here is the list of the Top Celebrity Endorsers of 2009 according to the Manila Standard:

1. Sharon Cuneta
This year, she can be seen promoting Nestlé Ice Cream, Nido and McDonald’s, among others.

2. Kris Aquino
She currently has contracts with 13 brands, including Downy, Smart, Philip Stein, Goldilocks and Eight O’Clock.

3. Manny Pacquiao

The male Kris Aquino with endorsements ranging from alcoholic beverages and mobile providers to shampoos and cooking aids.

4. Kim Chiu

6. Dingdong Dantes

Marian and Dingdong are scorching as a couple and the brands they both endorse. He also endorses Clear, etc.

7. Robin Padilla
This year has seen him be involved in lucrative campaigns for biscuit, mobile and vitamin brands.

8. Sarah Geronimo
