Kobe Bryant and a fan in Manila

Kobe Bryant uses an iPhone and not a Lenovo phone. Kobe Bryant is in Manila as an endorser of Lenovo Mobile phones in the Philippines. Kobe Bryant arrived in Manila on board a chartered flight from Beijing, China at around 3:40 a.m. and will meet fans at the SM Mall of Asia Atrium at 6 p.m. Some fans are miffed though that Kobe Bryant actually uses an iPhone and not a Lenovo phone, as proven by his tweets from his verified Twitter account. What further irritates some is that his ad for Lenovo phones say: “Walang Iwanan” which means being loyal. In fact, the Manila promotional is dubbed as “Walang Iwanan World Tour.”

Meanwhile, Kobe Bryant has a word for the Gilas Pilipinas basketball team that just placed 2nd at the FIBA-Asia Championship. Kobe said: “Just continue to play together. It’s not the strength of the individual in team sports. It’s how well those individuals play together as a team. So just continue to work together, constant communication. If that happens, you have a chance to accomplish something truly special. But you have to be able do it as a team.”

Kobe Bryant is also thankful of Manny Pacquiao and posted in his Instagram his appreciation of his hospitality saying: “My team arrived At our residence in Manila greeted by manny paquiao’s staff! Great hospitality and his chef “C” absolutely threw down a feast for us!Best Filipino food I’ve ever had mixed in with gnocchi and spaghetti carbonara! Thank YOU for such a warm welcome at 5 am. Much love! #5am #pacman #philippines #icingthescar #vino”. Photo credits: Resorts World Manila.
