Former Pres. Joseph Erap Estrada voting

Former President Joseph “Erap” Estrada it has been revealed, did not vote for his running mate Makati City Mayor Jejomar Binay. Erap failed to pick anyone for the position as shown in a photo taken by the Philippine Daily Inquirer’s Nino Jesus Orbeta while Erap was feeding his ballot into the precinct count optical scan (PCOS) machine at the Pedro Cruz Elementary School in San Juan City. Erap admitted he had inadvertently skipped Binay’s name on the ballot but claimed he eventually corrected the supposed oversight. He did not say how he was able to correct the oversight, when his ballot had already been swallowed by the machine. Erap took eight minutes to fill out his ballot. Erap mentioned to the press that he went through his ballot â€Å“three times” to make sure he skipped no one among the candidates under his ticket. And he also said he was not nervous when he voted. The oversight happened he said because of the new voting system. Binay is now leading in the unofficial count for Vice-President.

In the weeks leading up to today’s elections, Binay has been rumored to have been playing both of the camps of Aquino and of Estrada but Binay denied the rumor. Senator Francis Escudero declared his support for the so-called â€Å“Noy-Bi” tandem of Senator Benigno â€Å“Noynoy” Aquino III of the Liberal Party and Binay.
