Deniece Cornejo voluntarily gave herself up and surrendered to Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Alan Purisima at 4 p.m., Monday, May 5, 2014, in Camp Crame in Quezon City.

Deniece Cornejo is wanted for serious illegal detention, a non-bailable offense, filed by actor-host Vhong Navarro. Her other co-accused Cedric Lee and Zimmer Raz were arrested earlier in a resort in Eastern Samar. One of the other accused, JP Calma was able to flee the Philippines though.

Deniece Cornejo was then turned over to the PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), Women and Children Protection Desk where she will undergo a procedure, preliminary to her being detained in a jail. Photo credits: Doland Castro.
