The Philippine National Police (PNP) released today the mugshots of Deniece Cornejo
taken yesterday, May 5, in Camp Crame, Quezon City. Deniece Cornejo
surrendered to the PNP chief accompanied by her uncle, Rod Cornejo and her lawyer. Deniece Cornejo
is facing serious illegal detention charges, otherwise known in layman’s term as “Kidnapping,” filed against her in connection with the mauling of Vhong Navarro
in January. Serious illegal detention is a non-bailable offense.
Deniece Cornejo spent the night with other female inmates detained at the PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)’s Anti-Transnational Crime Unit detention cell.
