Willie Revillame reacts on Pokwang Aswang issue
An emotional moment suddenly changed the mood of the fun-filled show Wowowee yesterday (August 18) when Willie Revillame defended co-host Pokwang from rival host Joey de Leon’s insulting remarks about her.
Apparently, the latter had composed a novelty song against ABS-CBN shows which includes the following lines, “Makikita araw-araw ay mukha lang ni Pokwang. Makikita araw-araw ay mukha ng aswang.”
What really made Willie furious, however, is the fact that the offensive lyrics had caused Pokwang’s daughter to be a laughingstock in school.
Willie’s sudden burst of emotions brought not only his co-hosts Pokwang, Mariel and Valerie to tears, but also the show’s live audience.
“Ngayon may anak si Pokwang, isang babae, nag-iisa. Kawawa po yung bata, tinutukso sa iskwela, ‘Nanay mo aswang!’”
The Wowowee host also noted that this is unfair to both mother and daughter who have gone through a lot of difficulties in life.
“Alam niyo ba kung saan nag-umpisa si Pokwang? Nagpe-perform siya sa Japan. At dun, that time, nung nagpe-perform [siya] namatay po ang [isa pang] anak ni Pokwang, na hindi niya nakita habang ito’y binurol at inilibing,” he added.
Then Willie further claimed that Joey should refrain from involving other people from the long-standing rift between them. “Tirahin mo na ‘ko ‘wag lang ang babae.”
TV Patrol tried to get Joey’s reaction on this issue but Eat Bulaga’s producer Malou Fagar explained that the actor-TV host is still on vacation in Hong Kong.
On the other hand, Pokwang—though obviously distraught by the whole thing—managed to look at the brighter side of the situation, “Salamat po sa mga tumitira sa akin. Ibig sabihin lang po nun sikat na ako.”

c willie nanggagamit lang yan ng tao! Sobrang “PLASTIK” nyan, mapagpanggap baket hindi nya ungkatin ung ginawa nya sa isang host nla na mahaba ang baba!! kapal ng mukha ginagawa lng nyang kawawa ang mga kapus-palad, parang mga pulubi!

Pokwang, wag kang magpagamit kay Willie, matuto kang tumanggap ng joke na pwedeng makasakit sa iyo dahil ganon din naman ang gawain mo. Do not do unto others what you don’t want to do unto YOU. Sana alam mo yun, at yung sa anak mo dapat rin turuan mo syang paano tanggapin ang mga ganyang pintas sa ibang bata. Si Willie lang naman ang nagpapalaki ng issue, bakit pag si willie pinipintasan at ginagawang laughing stock sa show nio di ka napipikon, ung panlalait nya sa iyo na di man deretsahin sinasabi ni willie pero nakakapikon din un. Mas lalo ka lang pinahamak ni Willie at mas lalo lang pinamukhang laughing stock ang anak mo ni Willie.

I have to hand it to Willie he likes to meddle with issues and use it to make ratings higher for his show, using sympathy. he could have been a support for Pokwang but not used it for publicity, kasi kahit na anong gawing ni willie, tainted ka na na mas isang taong may personality problem, alam mo pakialaman mo na lang yung mga sarili mong issues like yung pandaraya sa show mo, yung mga kotse mo na di ka nagbayad ng tamang tax, ang mga babaeng pinagloloko mo at ang ugali mong mas magaling ka pa sa common tao, lalo na sa show mo na pinaglalaruan mo ang mga tao. kahit nma anong gawin mo, di pa rin maalis sa isipan namin na ikaw ay nagbabalat kayo lang kasi for rating sake lang ang lahat ng ginagawa mo! You will never be a good person to look up to sa showbiz, actually ikaw ang isa sa mga notorious sa Phil showbiz industry!
