Willie Revillame angrily reacts to the Cory Aquino Funeral March snippet being shown beside Wowowee. Willie Revillame reasoned out that the Corazon Aquino funeral should not be shown beside Wowowee because Wowowee is a fun show and the funeral march is not.
Willie should have paused his show for a moment instead of reacting badly. He already have everyday all week to be happy in his show. Maybe when he is not wealthy anymore and he dies no one wud go to his funeral. He is a smegma!!! wash it!!! with PH Care haha what a jerk!
I think Willie Revillame is just plain ARROGANT! He should not have said it on-air and just talked to the traffic crew during the commercial break. He just wants to show the public how powerful he thinks he is. Just because the management is making a lot of money from his show does NOT give him the right to react that way. I do watch his show but this incident is such a big turn off …hearing him, a host who projects himself as "makatao," should be more sensitive when it comes to such issues. The entire Philippines is in mourning. The fact that ABS allowed him to air his show, he should be more than grateful for it. He should be more careful with his comments because in a snap of a finger he can lose his show right away. After all, there won't be a Kapamilya network if not for Tita Cory…she was the one who gave back ABS-CBN to the Lopezes, remember?.

He is just a plain "bastos", "walang pinag-aralan", at "saksakan ng yabang" . The whole country is mourning and yet he thinks his show must go on like nothing ever happened. This is not the first time Willie had instructed somebody on how to do or behave as if he has the right to say so. On the show there are numerous times that he scolded some of his staff or dancers on how to do their job. Siya ang pinakamayaman sa showbiz at PINAKAMAYABANG. Hindi siguro ito alam ng mga mahihirap na tao na humahanga sa kanya kasi akala nila mabait si Willie dahil nabibigyan sila ng pera.
I agree with Willie. He was adamant on his stand to not show simultaneously Cory's funeral parade while Wowowee was airing. I admire his sense of discretion. He was reprimanded by ABS-CBN. That's one of the reasons why I don't like that channel. All it cares about is market share, publicity, and profits, without any regard for propriety.
The time slot was for Wowowee, and ABS-CBN should be sensitive to the people. People cannot stomach having fun while viewing the somber mood of Cory's funeral. It would be disturbing that's why Willie cannot allow that on the show.

I think he just said it the wrong way but he had a valid point and it was ABS CBN, the network, that was tasteless and indecent. People are used to watching girls trying to impress at Wowowee by dancing seductively…but juxtapose that with feeds of a funeral procession of an icon? I don't like Willie but it was not him who was managing the feeds…
If ABS really wanted to concentrate on covering Cory's transfer, they could have done two things: shortened shows to insert updates or just cancelled all the other shows. As it was, it was just really purely business for them.

For all intent and purposes, this letter aims to articulate the anger and hatred we, Filipinos here in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia feel towards Willie Revillame and the dissatisfaction over the shabby treatment of ABS-CBN towards Willie’s callous remarks to the very person we adore so much, Madam President, Cory Aquino.
As paying TFC subscribers, we expect nothing but the best services ABS-CBN could offer us, nothwithstanding, the entertainment ones being fed to us. However, for the past several years, we have seen how your TV host, Willie Revillame used his TV show to showcase his worst attitude problem in front of the camera. We managed to accept those unacceptable manners until that fateful day when all of us are still mourning with the passing away of our beloved Cory do we hear such offensive and distasteful remarks over the flashing on screen of what we were more interested to follow then, the news on Cory’s funeral cortege to Manila Cathedral.
Such display of ill manners do not deserve to be seen on screen worldwide. It is like tolerating your talent to whatever he wants to do or say without being reprimanded at all by the management.
There is now a worldwide clamor for the ouster of Willie Revillame from his TV show to make him understand the extent of his bad behavior. No amount of apologies can we restore what has been damaged. Willie does not and will never epitomize the kind of charities that he disguises in the form of his TV show…. a mockery of what a true public service that he is flaunting around here and there.
A mud even covered with the most precious stones can not be camouflaged with its shining shimmering splendor…..it will only show later on, its true color. The best thing that could have been done at this situation was for ABS-CBN to have suspended their airing of Wowowee for a day, considering that we are all mourning for the passing of our great leader, if ABS-CBN says that they owe everything to Pres. Aquino, then, what is one day of putting all of their regular shows to a halt.
As for the host, his arrogance and ignorance towards the situation is very much shown. He says he loves and respects Pres. Aquino, but, respect is clearly not exercised by him, I think my fellow Pinoys are right in saying that he definitely is a selfish man and very inconsiderate at that. He could’ve waited for the commercials to come in and talk with the news and public affairs group and settled the matter amongst themselves. What very poor taste he exhibited!

This is not surprising, really. Willie Revillame has always been irresponsible but he also always manages to get away with it. That is the sad fact. I am not undermining his fans and those who believe that he is genuinely concerned about his "kapwa" but it is really not apparent when you look at his lifestyle. How can you live so extravagantly and claim to be concerned about the less fortunate. This is plain hypocrisy. He explains that he wants to inspire the less fortunate to aim to be like him which is really pathetic! He's all "for show". He takes pride in saying that he is an example of success just because he managed to rake in millions now that he is famous. Does anyone really believe this bul*s*it? Does anyone really solely gauge success in terms of financial assets. Simply appalling. He may be good for business for ABS-CBN but is he really worth all the negative values & publicity that go against the core values that ABS-CBN really wants to impart and practice.

I always asked my husband why he loves to watch wowowee even the fact remain that willie always display misbehavior such as sarcasm or embarrasing others. I think I'm in the minority when I say that I can see where he's coming from, but the execution could have been better. I think it was poor taste on ABS' part to even juxtapose a variety show with a funeral motorcade, but I guess Willie's just reviled for other things, and it's sad that mob mentality rules and this might be the proverbial nail on his coffin – no pun intended.

I don't udenderstand why Willie Revillame is getting what he wants from ABS CBN I beleive ABS CBN is only after on money from thie advertiser. Willie has the right perspective to remove the live coverage of Aquino's funeral march BUT it would be better if he said OFF-CAM to evade any misunderstanding issue such occuring today . My family and I used to be huge fans of the Wowowee show…pero honestly, lately, lumalaki na talaga ang head ni Willie. Imagine, mag-a-ask pa sya sa mga TFC subscribers kung meron silang mga gifts for him? Pero kung may kumapal ng mukhang contestant and asked him for money, grabe ang pagtawag nya na mukha silang pera. WTH is that about? Anywhoo, tungkol sa incident last August 3rd…I just think na, yes, valid yung reasoning ni Willie…pero he should have handled it better. Katulad nga ng sabi ng iba…he should have either waited after a commercial break and advised his staff na wag munang i-show kasi nga awkward na may contestant na nag-jijirate…tapos meron kay Tita Cory side by side. He has a responsibility to make the Filipino people feel comforted and happy ESPECIALLY in hard times like now. True, he could have waited till break to tell his crew, but his so called 'out-burst' was NOT for malice reasons! He just didn't want to continue his 'happy show' while a sad event was going on. i am watching wowowee eveyday and i observed that he is not really sincere in what he is doing. i hope ABS CBN management should think it over..i think there are still a lot of talented, sincere, and honest artists/celebrities that can host wowowee or create another noontime show

To all who posted that it was bastos, I don't think it was at all. It was inappropriate to show such contrasting images at the same time. And he did say that "kung gusto nyo, yan lang ipakita nyo" and "show whatever you want to show after the show" (tagalog). Frankly I don't know what the big fuss is all about. But yeah, it might have been better if he kept his mouth shut until they got off the air or cut away to ads. i watched it and even i feel nabastos. his tone of voice was more irritated than sorry. kahit na ba pampatawa yong show nya he could have shown more compassion sa feeling ng sambayanan. he could have given few minutes of his airtime to cory, after all cory made an important role in aiding the lopezes gain back control over abs-cbn. kung si gaby lopez nga very thankful kay cory. si willie pa kaya na to think wala siya kung wala ang abs-cbn?saka hindi naman ganon ka stupid amg manonood na ma ru ruin and viewing dahil ipinakita ang burial ni cory? we are not stupid at makitid ang pag iisip like willie. feeling nya talaga, tingnan mo ginawa nya kay lara, pinatangal nya dahil lang sa selos nya. wala talgang respect sa babae. pati yong mga bastos na komentaryo nya sa mga dancers nya.. plainly he says what he pleases.. he just lose one viewer… a tfc viewer!

I think he is being sincere when he said what he said mayroon lang mali sa choice of words at higit sa lahat ay tactless dahil pwede naman makiusap siya sa producer/director niya off air. sometimes i think he cannot help himself not to be arrogant kasi siguro marami na siyang pera and maybe he think too big of himself. panonoorin ko pa rin ang wowowee with willie or without willie sa show kasi i like the format of the show nabinibigyan ng chance ang mga kababayan natin na hopeless at mahirap na makatikim man lang konting kasiyahan. you also have a point but the big picture is willie's reaction has gone overboard. why overboard, it's the abs-cbn's management decision to air the said f flash news and that flash news happens to be the funeral of the late president of the Philippines. Mr. revillame evidently don't have any idea of the said protocol. he thinks that he is already above the management, and that's unacceptable. he is a

I think you are right about willie's point but the thing is the approach was very inappropriate. Whenever they want to say foul on cam, what they do is they put the mic away from their mouth or put the mic off to avoid saying it loud in public. He could have done the same way in asking the management to remove the inset showing the late President's funeral.

Willie should not be given a second chance based on what people saw on youtube. He is very
