Tsuyoshi Kusanagi Scandal

Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, popular pop star in Japan has been arrested in a Tokyo park for exposing himself in an act of public indecency while being allegedly drunk. Tsuyoshi Kusanagi is one of the more popular member of Japanese boy band, SMAP. Tsuyoshi Kusanagi was found in his birthday suit, sitting on the grass, his clothes bundled in a ball near him. Tsuyoshi Kusanagi was making a scene prompting a concerned citizen to call the police. The pop star resisted the arrest, and reportedly said to the police, “What’s wrong with being naked?”

The arrest of Tsuyoshi Kusanagi made headlines in Japan with major TV networks repeatedly reporting his arrest and broadcasting a footage showing him being escorted to a police vehicle. There was no news however if someone was able to take photos of him while drunk and in his birthday suit in the park. The 34-year-old pop star Tsuyoshi Kusanagi meanwhile subsequently apologized for his actions by saying, “I caused trouble to many people. I am deeply sorry.”
