Alex Gonzaga is slowly carving a name for herself in Philippine Showbiz. If you notice that her surname sounds family (lol), yes, Alex Gonzaga is a younger and some say not much a beauty than her sister, MultiMedia Star Toni Gonzaga. Alex Gonzaga gained prominence by ably playing an amiable bestfriend to Kim Chiu in My Girl, and she reprises more of the same role with the Kimerald loveteam in Your Song Presents: My Only Hope wherein she is paired with newcomer hunk Xian Lim. Alex Gonzaga does not only appear in ABS-CBN, she also does hosting chores in TV5’s Juicy!

On its new timeslot, Juicy! will air daily from Monday to Friday at 11:30 am on TV5. “Our show is about freshness hindi masyadong typecast na showbiz talk show na sobrang deep and masyadong serious na wala ng light side,” said Alex Gonzaga.

Alex Gonzaga enjoys her Juicy! hosting role and enjoys the challenge of trying to win the confidence of her guests without making them feel uncomfortable. Alex learned that her primary role is to present the issue on hand and not add unnecessary fuel to a controversy. She said she gained this valuable lesson from former Startalk host, Rosanna Roces.

“Sinabi ni Ms. Rosanna sa akin na huwag mong ipasok ‘yong sarili mo sa issue and mag-comment, comment ka kasi maliit lang ang mundo ng showbiz.”

Xian Lim and David Chua

Xian Lim is our hunk of the week in Philippine Showbiz. Xian Lim is a member of the latest batch of Star Magic talents and will appear in his first showbiz stint via Kimerald’s Your Song Presents: My Only Hope. He is an addition to the mainly My Girl cast of Your Song Presents: My Only Hope along with another cutie, Carlo Guevarra. Xian Lim is also in Cosmo Men list of 69 Most Eligible Bachelor of the Philippines. Xian Lim is a member of the University of the East (UE) Men’s Basketball Varsity Team.

Gerald Anderson has been deglamorized with an emo look role in his newest TV show, My Only Hope, again with loveteam Kim Chiu, Enchong Dee, Nina Jose, Regine Angeles, David Chua, Carlo Guevarra and newcomer Xian Lim. Check out Gerald Anderson looking fit again after developing a belly of late. My Only Hope is to be shown before The Buzz on Sundays. It is directed by Rahyan Carlos ( formerly of GMA Artist Center head of acting workshop!)) and Jojo Saguin, director of ABS-CBN’s teen show, Astigs. My Only Hope is another Kimerald starrer after their successful Primetime soap, My Girl.
