Gerald Anderson has been deglamorized with an emo look role in his newest TV show, My Only Hope, again with loveteam Kim Chiu, Enchong Dee, Nina Jose, Regine Angeles, David Chua, Carlo Guevarra and newcomer Xian Lim. It is directed by Rahyan Carlos ( formerly of GMA Artist Center head of acting workshop!)) and Jojo Saguin, director of ABS-CBN’s teen show, Astigs. My Only Hope is another Kimerald starrer after their successful Primetime soap, My Girl.

JabbaWockeeZ is a male dance crew composed mostly of Filipinos from California and is the winner of the MTV hip hop dance reality series, America’s Best Dance Crew or ABDC, in its first season.
American Idol judge Randy Jackson is the executive producer of ‘America’s Best Dance Crew’ and the show is actually called “Randy Jackson Presents America’s Best Dance Crew.” America’s Best Dance Crew features dance crews from all over the United States and the JabbaWockeeZ known for wearing plain white Kabuki-style masks and gloves and performing synchronized dance moves being its season one winner has won $100,000 and a touring contract, and has since appeared in Ellen, Live with Regis and Kelly, at the MTV Movie Awards, BET Awards and the 2008 Teen Choice Awards, among others. AJ Perez was hailed as the Cutest Boy of the Philippines or so it seemed in the annual poll of Candy Magazine, a magazine geared for teens and tweens alike. In its 100 Candy Cuties for September, AJ Perez tops the initial list. The poll lasts until the end of the year. Last year’s initial Candy Cutest is Dino Imperial but was eventually overtaken by Pinoy Gossip Girl Sam Concepcion.

ABS-CBN’s The Singing Bee is the no. 1 TV show among Primetime shows in the Philippines for the whole month of May, overtaking GMA’s “Dyesebel” by just .2%. Dyesebel was the no. 1 TV show for the month of April. The Singing Bee is the Philippine franchise of the The Singing Bee, also popular abroad. The Singing Bee scored a 32.6 percent rating against Deysebel ’s 32.4 tally. The ratings is according to the latest survey report prepared by AGB Nielsen Media Research Philippines among nationwide households for the whole month of May.

Cristina “Meye” Aldecoa in Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 audition was shown tonight. Cristina was branded as the Filipino Dreamer from New York. The Endemol representative said, Cristina looked sad because of her background which is from a struggling family in the US. Direk Joey Reyes and Ryan Cayabyab said she looked sad and compared to another contestant who was also from a poor/complicated family life, was bubbly. Cristina Aldecoa was able to get through tonight and into another round of the Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 auditions.
