Charice will be featured on Oprah today and Oprah is calling the show, Dream Comes True - The Most Talented Girl in the World! Wow, amazing. Charice Pempengco has been to places no Filipina has been ever accorded such an accolade and spotlight (except maybe for Imelda Marcos and for completely different reasons). This is the second appearance of Charice on Oprah, back in May, Charice performed in Oprah and she said to Oprah that meeting her and performing in Oprah is a dream come true. Pinoys in the United States pls. tape this new episode and upload it to YouTube or email them to me pls.. Word is Celine Dion and Whitney Houston is also apearing live on the show, with the possible addition of Mariah Carey!! These will be like GAY HEAVEN come true! LOL. No occasion that i remember had the 3 superstars been in one room together. I doubt the Mariah part though since she has a full schedule and (lovelife) for her new album. Meanwhile on Harpo Productions, Oprah’s company, Harpo is Oprah spelled backwards in case you didn’t notice, had all the praises for Charice:

The girl with “The Voice” is back! She’s from a small town on the other side of the planet, and she’s got a big voice that brings crowds to their feet. Oprah makes a dream come true for the teen sensation she calls “The Most Talented Girl in the World.” She started belting out tunes in talent shows in her hometown and quickly became a huge Internet sensation thanks to a singing talent that she says comes from somewhere “bigger than herself.”

New Kids On The Block nostalgia

This is like a throwback to the good ol’ days! New Kids On The Block also known as NKOTB is back with a new single out, and is actually getting popular here too by the minute, “Single” with recent Manila visitor, Ne-Yo. The boys are all back together, Jordan Knight, Dohnnie Walhberg, Jon Knight, Danny Wood and Joey McIntyre were like the teen sensation of the late 80’s and early 90’s in the Philippines (Menudo ruled in the mid 80’s). Eclipsed only by the Backstreet Boys, ‘Nsync and Westlife (?) in recent memory..and since the boy band fever is all the rage again, NKOTB reunited to rival the Jonas Brothers and probably remind them that they’re once walked a boy band like NKOTB who ruled the charts around the world.

Check out the NKOTB performing Single at The Today Show earlier today with Ne-Yo:
