Pinoy Fear Factor South America hosted by Ryan Agoncillo starts airing Nov. 10 on ABS-CBN and will run for 15 weeks. So far the Pinoy Fear Factor 12 Participantes as they are officially called had not been fully revealed with the exception of celebrities Phoemela Barranda and LJ Moreno. Sources say that Riza Santos is also a part of Pinoy Fear Factor. Others are semi-celeb (if there is such a thing) like Ram Sagad, Century Tuna Superbodies 2007 Winner/Welcoat basketball player; Gail Nicolas, Marian Rivera look-alike and Mossimo Bikini Summit 2007 Winner; and a certain Janna Dominguez, who is said to be a former Wowowee host.

Some ordinary folks with colorful presents and pasts are also Pinoy Fear Factor Participantes like: Savanah – described as a ledge dancer; RJ – a stevedore with two kids from Tarlac; Elmer – a vet; Jose – a culinary student; Manuel – a balikbayan from Australia; Marion Dela Cruz – a challenger from Tarlac ( and resides in Vienna, Austria); and Jommy – a model.

In the auditions held nationwide, PFF hopefuls were asked to perform some small stunts and had to undergo physical and psychological examinations. Knowing how to swim and drive was also a strict requirement. There were also some contestants who failed to meet particular clauses in the contract hence had to back out, which further extended the selection process to almost two months.

The 12 participantes left at the end of August and stayed in Argentina for a month. The first winner of Pinoy Fear Factor: South America takes home P2 million in cash and a house and lot worth P2.5 million from Avida. EcoQuest intl could have been a sponsor of this event too.

Well, things are heating up in Philippine Showbiz! After that alleged Kris Aquino and Charlene Gonzales confrontation, Ruffa Gutierrez is miffed at Riza Santos, her co-star in I Love Betty La Fea. Riza Santos earned the ire of Ruffa Gutierrez after she kept the entire cast and crew of ABS-CBN’s  I Love Betty La Fea waiting for hours on one of its recent tapings. I Love Betty La Fea is premiering tonight! Riza Santos aside from being late did not even bother to offer an explanation for her tardiness or at least greet the people present at the set, Ruffa Gutierrez recalled.

“Ayoko na sanang palakihin ‘to pero ang sa ‘kin lang naman, you know, sana just say ‘hi’ naman to your co-stars, say ‘hi’ to your director, mga kasamahan mo. Kasi ‘yon ang itinuro sa akin ng mga magulang ko, e, na kailangan lahat ng mga senior stars, lahat ng mga kasamahan mo sa showbiz, kailangan batiin mo para pakikisama,” Ruffa Gutierrez revealed yesterday, with The Buzz during a sit-down interview.

Based on what she heard and knew at the time, Ruffa said that Riza’s call time was seven o’ clock in the evening but she showed up at around 11 p.m.

“Last eksena ko na ‘yon. So, gusto ko na talagang umuwi kasi I wasn’t feeling that well, at saka siyempre gusto ko naman makasama si Lorin at saka si Venice kaya parang excited din ako umuwi kasi kokonti lang ‘yong mga eksena ko for that day,” explained Ruffa.

For a supposed quick take, Riza’s absence consequently forced Ruffa and the staff to stay and linger around the set until near midnight. What irked Ruffa is the apparent lack of courtesy of Riza Santos the moment she arrived.

“Ang sa akin lang, kung ‘yong mga bida na si Bea Alonzo at si John Lloyd Cruz laging maaga sa set, on time, lahat po binabati mula sa mga crew hanggang sa director nila, napakabait po nila kahit mga superstar sila.

“You know, frustrated lang ako kasi minsan sa mga baguhan na wala silang parang respeto sa mga nakakatanda sa kanila, na sana bumati naman sila.”

Meanwhile, from the camp of Riza Santos, a source said Riza Santos was not aware of her taping schedule that day, thus making the entire incident a case of miscommunication between the production team and Riza’s group.

Ruffa argued that Riza could have at least issued an apology, particularly to the director, for all the hassle she had caused.

“At that point lang, whether she was stuck in traffic or whether she had a big problem, you know, ang sa amin lang sana she could have said sorry man lang to the director because all of us were just waiting for her.”

“So parang one hour nang natapos ‘yong scene or 30 minutes, wala pa din po siyang sinasabi. Kumbaga parang, wala lang. So, when I stood up, I said, ‘Okay, bye everyone, bye!’”

Turning her attention to Riza, Ruffa said, “‘You know, Riza, next time don’t make anyone wait,’ sabi kong ganun. ‘If you wanna make it in this business, be professional,’ and I just left but still she didn’t say anything after that.”

Ilang beses naming nadaanan sina Riza Santos at Will Devaughn na sweet sa isang sulok ng Hey Jude bar.

Kapag tatanungin mo naman si Riza tungkol sa kanila ni Will, malayo ang sagot niya.

Hindi raw si Will lang ang ka-bonding niya rito kundi sina Gaby de la Merced at Victor Basa na kasali sa naturang event.

Pero silang dalawa lang ang laging magkasama kaya obvious na may namamagitan sa kanila.

Sa pakikipagtsika­han namin kay Riza, nilinaw niyang magkaibigan lang sila ni Polo Ravales at never daw siyang niligawan nito.

Hanggang ngayon ay nagkikita at lumalabas pa rin daw sila ni Polo dahil bestfriend nito ang kapatid ng aktor na si Ashley Gruenberg.

In the Pinoy Big Brother house, it was revealed that Riza Santos was an item with Polo Ravales. Riza Santos said she is friends with Polo’s sister Ashley Gruenberg, that’s why showbiz kibitzers may have seen the connection. Then things change after (or even while it is still on) Pinoy Big Brother, Riza Santos is obviously smitten of Will Devaughn.

Meanwhile, Polo Ravales’ career continue to blossom over at GMA 7, he replaced Patrick Garcia in Maging Akin Ka Lamang and is paired with Nadine Samonte.

Polo figured in last week’s hot Philippines showbiz issue, that of the Mark Herras and EB Babes Lian Paz split up. The cause daw of the break up is Polo Ravales, EB Babes Lian Paz said to be going out with him, while Mark Herras is busy as well dating Nadin Howell, Rhian Ramos’ sister. Nadin and Rhian denies it. So does Polo.
