My previous post, George Clooney girlfriend Sarah Larson scandalous pics, early this month, made it to No. 1 in the Yahoo (US) Buzz Index, at the time when the news of George Clooney breaking up with Sarah Larson came out. I was amazed at the quality of traffic. I felt like John Chow with the ad earnings exploding..a very lucky break indeed. I even beat Perez Hilton and A Socialite’s Life in Yahoo would you believe it. Last time this has happened was in the Vanessa Hudgens scandals. And speaking of Sarah Larson, apparently the reason why this blog ranked high was that Americans thought that Sarah Larson is Asian. Well, i will not be surprised if Sarah turns out to be Filipina. But, it’s a pity because these Pinays (if she is) are breaking up with their famous Hollywood relations. Earlier this year, Marsha Garces, wife of comedian Robin Williams, filed for divorce. Marsha Garces is Robin Williams Filipina nanny before marrying her.

Back to Sarah Larson, reports are that the reason why George Clooney broke up with her is that Sarah in a last ditch effort to save their relationship, had herself a boob job, which turned off Mr. Clooney more. That photo above is their last public appearance together. Rumors are George Clooney even before that event planned to dump her already, but didn’t have the gall to tell her. One good thing came out from Sarah Larson’s boob job. She was hired by Playboy magazine for a cover spread.

Filipinas are known for their beauty all over, so it’s not a surprise to know that several of Philippines descent are famous and hot in Hollywood right now. But these Filipina ladies are not just popular for their sexiness and beauty but because of their talent.

From television to music, these Pinays are showing them what they got and making the Philippines proud. And these ladies are not the only Filipinas making it, there are a lot of them making a name for themselves too, but these are the finer ones.
Cassie

Cassie Ventura, or simply Cassie is the daughter of a Filipino father and an African-American mother. Cassie began her career as a model at the age of fourteen, appearing in ads for Delia’s, Adidas, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Seventeen. Cassie is signed with Diddy’s record label, Bad Boy Records. Her first single, “Me & U” proved to be a massive hit.

Vanessa Minnillo, CBS’s “Entertainment Tonight” correspondent and co-host of MTV’s “TRL”. Vanessa Joy Minnillo was born in Clark Air Base, Philippines to Vincent Minnillo and Helen Berecero. Vanessa Minnillo has passive knowledge of two Philippine languages, Kapampangan and Tagalog.

Her father is an American of Italian and Irish descent; the ethnicity of her estranged mother has been ambiguous with Minnillo’s reference to her as being a Filipina from Leyte. Minnillo has been dating singer Nick Lachey since mid 2006, ex-husband of Jessica Simpson and member of boy band 98 Degrees.

Nicole Scherzinger, was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to a Filipino father and a Hawaiian/Russian mother. She grew up in Louisville, Kentucky with stepfather Gary Scherzinger. In 2001, Scherzinger competed in the premiere season of The WB’s television show Popstars, on which she earned a spot in the all-girl pop group Eden’s Crush.

In June 2003, following her stint with Eden’s Crush, Scherzinger joined The Pussycat Dolls burlesque troupe, who were being re-cast as recording artists.

Nicole has been working on her self titled solo album with well known record producers such as will.i.am, Timbaland, Kara Dioguardi and Bryan Michael Cox. Her first single “Steam” will be released early this year.

Tia Carrere, born in Honolulu, Hawaii of Filipino, Chinese, and Spanish heritage.

She meet initial success with Wayne’s World (and it’s sequel) and went on to star in character roles for several big Hollywood films until her stint in Relic Hunter. She also participated as a contestant on the popular reality show, Dancing with the Stars.
