It has been reported that Divine Geronimo, mother of Sarah Geronimo has not treated well a young fashion designer and even came to the point where Sarah’s mother threw the designer’s gown on the floor whom the designer made gratis. The reported incident happened in the ABS-CBN Dolphy special, The King of Comedy: Dolphy at 80 where Sarah Geronimo was a guest performer.

A young designer was commissioned to make a gown for Sarah Geronimo for the Dolphy Special, and since the designer is new, he got excited over the designing job. He made the “controversial gown” extra special and even spent so much time making it that he was sleepless most of the time just to really make a beautiful creation for Sarah.

When D-Day came, Sarah Geronimo fitted the gown but to her amazement, it did not sit well with her mother Divine and ordered her not to wear it. And after doing so, threw the gown on the floor. As in, biglang ipinaahubad ng ina ni Sarah ang gown at walang kaabug-abog na itinapon ito nang walang sali-salita. No explanation on why the sudden change of plans or a small thank you for the gown was made to the designer. Mommy Divine then reportedly made Sarah Geronimo wear another gown. The young designer was reduced to tears. It was also reported that even Sarah Geronimo was surprised at what her mother had done but ever the obedient daughter, had to obey what her mother had told her to do.

Meanwhile, Divine Geronimo aired her side of the story denying such a thing happened saying, “Hindi ko binastos yung designer. Hindi ko itinapon yung gown. Ang nangyari kasi, yung dala niyang gown ay hindi fit kay Sarah. Kaya yung dalang gown na lang ng Viva ang pinasuot ko sa kanya.

“Hindi ko na yun pina-repair kasi wala nang oras. Araw na mismo kasi ng show yun. At saka si Sarah na lang ang kulang sa performers na nasa stage na. Siya na lang ang hinihintay ng mga kasamahan niya.

“‘Di ba dapat ‘pag magsusuot ka ng gown o magpapatahi ka ng damit, dapat ay may fitting? Yung gown ni Sarah na ipapagamit sana nung designer ay hindi niya naman nasukat. Basta na lang yun ibinigay sa kanya nung designer.”

Mommy Divine Geronimo also clarified that they don’t personally or professionally know the designer. “Doon na lang namin siya nakilala sa taping ng Dolphy special. Binigyan niya nga kasi ng gown si Sarah.

“Gusto ko sanang magpasamalat sa kanya. Kaya lang pagbalik ko ng dressing room, after ng production number ni Sarah ay wala na siya.”

On the other hand, Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz movie, A Very Special Love, is on its way to being the highest grossing Filipino movie of all time, and just made the highest grossing movie of 2008, eclipsing Sharon Cuneta’s Caregiver. The Sarah and John Lloyd’s starrer, A Very Special Love already made 134 Million on its 2nd week and still raking in the big bucks on its 3rd week.

Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 made a mistake in announcing PDA scholar Liezel as one of the Top 3 scholars based on its 8th Gala Night. PDA2 Headmaster Ryan Cayabyab corrected the mistake and apologized for the boo-boo. PDA2 Headmaster Ryan Cayabyab said that it should have been PDA2 scholar Cris Pastor who should be in the Top 3 instead of PDA2 scholar Liezel. The cause of the mistake is a miscalculation and the misplacement of cuecards. It was PDA2 host Toni Gonzaga who announced the Top 3 infront of the PDA2 scholars inside the PDA house.

Other scholars in the Top 3 are Bugoy and Poy. Cris Pastor was already informed of her top 3 placement and she was overcame with joy.

A reader emailed me a tip saying that Inaki of Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 has a scandal but not the kind of scandal that you think, lol, but the sort where Inaki lied to his teeth when he auditioned for Pinoy Dream Academy 2. The tipster sent me to a link in YouTube where Inaki, without batting an eyelash said he originally arranged his audition piece “Summer Breeze” to the amazement of the clueless judges.

KC Concepcion Imposible Music Video, watch it below. The Imposible Music Video, KC Concepcion explained is not really that, technically, it’s not a video, but more of moving still pictures. The “music video” employed the use of a digital camera with high shutter speed to shoot the scenes and then after putting it together, the Imposible music video was the result. A stop motion animation concept and 6,000+ photos were used.

Photographer Mark Nicdao and KC Concepcion collaborated on the concept which was 3 years in the making. KC Concepcion enthused, “2005 pa namin experiment yon ni mark and we’ve done our first music video together!” Imposible is the first single to KC’s top selling album, a.k.a Cassandra.

Lea Salonga aside from Sharon Cuneta is also celebrating her 30th year in Philippine Showbiz with a concert entitled Lea Salonga… My Life Onstage, it will be held at the PICC Plenary Hall on May 23 and 24. Lea Salonga will have as special guest no less than Aga Muhlach, who will do a duet with her. Lea Salonga and Aga Muhlach did two very successful movies together in “Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal” and “Sana Maulit Muli.”

Suppose to be, Aga Muhlach will be the special guest but will not be mentioned in the promos. Aga Muhlach said, “She asked me to guest. I said yes but we agreed that my name will not be mentioned in the promotions so that I can still back out anytime,” he said smiling and went on to joke, “but I’d love to sing duet with her. So that people will know that I am a good singer, too. Imagine doing a duet withLea Salonga? For sure, her voice will carry mine and people will presume Aga Muhlach can actually sing.”

When Lea Salonga was asked that it has been a long time since she appeared in a full-length movie. Will she mind doing another flick? Lea said, “I don’t mind and if I could squeeze it, why not? But only with Aga (Muhlach),” she remarked with a big smile.

Aga was just smiling and shyly expressed how honored he was with that statement. “Yeah, it will be a project I would love to do. Sana nga magkaroon ng chance to do that. Although I know she is very busy and that her commitments extend to until August of 2009? But really, why not? It’s something that will be good to do,” he said.
