Dingdong Dantes is the first celebrity male endorser of Gran Matador. Dingdong was chosen because of his staying power in Philippine Showbiz. Dingdong Dantes was only 17 when Viva introduced him in “TGIS” which became the defining teen show of his generation. From that time onwards Dingdong can be considered as the most successful member of TGIS. For all these Dingdong is grateful. “I’m really thankful dahil tuluy-tuloy ang career ko and I feel that it’s only now that my career is reaching its peak. Kung before, teen idol lang ang tingin sa akin ng tao, now, they look at me as a more mature romantic leading man, thanks to my role as Sergio in “Marimar” and as Fredo in `Dyesebel’. Through the years, I was also able to invest in some businesses, like my own production house and investment company, and the Centerstage KTV on Timog Rotonda,” Dingdong said.

Dingdong is also happy that despite a successful career, his lovelife with actress Karylle is also doing well, a feat in Philippine showbiz. Normally, a good career meant an unhappy lovelife or vice-versa. Dingdong muses, “I’m really thankful that fans and viewers now know how to separate the private and public lives of stars like us.”

Gran Matador is all praises for Dingdong as well. “Bilib na bilib kami kay Dingdong as he’s a force to reckon with whether as an actor, director or businessman. He’s a man of character who’s decent and responsible. Gran Matador stands for excellence seasoned by time and that’s exactly what Dingdong is as he has learned to hone his craft in his 10 years in the business. But it’s not all roses for Dingdong Dantes. He recently figured in a blind item where he was said to have picked up some girls in a fastfood. Dingdong didn’t deny that such an incident happened but he corrected that he didn’t get on with anyone. “I would say na ako nga yun [subject of blind item] and it was in Timog kung saan nag-burger kami. Late night or midnight na rin noon at hindi lang ako yung nandoon, I was with my cousin and my brother.

“What happened is that, yung kasama ko, gustong manghiram ng lighter. Pumasok yung mga girls, they are group of girls na…beautiful girls. So, nahihiya yung kasama kong manghiram kaya sabi ko, ‘Sige, ako ang magsasabi.’ So, ganoon lang yun. Definitely, walang playtime na naganap or something. Because yung mga girls, they look beautiful and decent girls. At hindi ako lasing or anything.

“Afterwards nga, dumating din yung mga kasama nila, some are guys. And it so happened pa na yung isang guy, I know him pa. Nakasama ko or nakatrabaho ko na siya before. So, you know, it’s purely healthy conversation,” Dingdong clarified.

R&B Princess Kyla and her parents who are now managing her career is said to have made talks with the management of ABS-CBN for a possible transfer to ABS-CBN. Recently, Kyla has dropped her manager, Cacai Velasquez, former singer and sister/manager of Regine Velasquez and made her parents her manager.

Talk is that Kyla is to transfer because of Heart Evangelista’s entry in SOP, the only show where Kyla is on in GMA. hmmm…

All in all if the talk is true or not, expect Kyla to have more projects if she remain with GMA or several projects too if she decides to transfer to ABS-CBN. Look at Regine Velasquez, she now has 3 shows in GMA namely: SOP, Songbird and the soon to be in primetime tv series, Ako si Kim Sam Soon.

Snooky Serna does a Britney by changing her hairstyle to that former Britney Spears stunt of having a bald look. The only difference is Britney is still young and rebellious after going through divorce and child custody suits and probably can get away with the bald look but not Snooky Serna who is 40+ old and is not going through any that is not of her own making.

Snooky Serna said she wanted the “skinhead” do, “For a change.”

Psychologists are of the opinion that women turns to their hair when they have problems with their lovelife. Snooky Serna went through an annulment recently with young husband Nino.

This blind-item is soo Mark Herras! lol..more like a not so blind item really since of course Mark Herras has a tag of “Bad Boy of the Dance Floor.” Basically, Pete is saying that Mark Herras is bisexual and whenever he has problems with his lovelife he goes back to his “guy friend” for “comfort.”

Also, that they go to this PC LAN gaming shop not just to do some gaming but to bond with his special buddy. Last time i know, Mark Herras goes to this gaming shop with Mike Tan and Rainier Castillo.

Ang hang-out nila o watering hole ay isang computer house somewhere in Kyusi at doon sila inaabot ng madaling araw sa pagku-computer kuno, pero ang true niyan, they were trying to make-up for the lost time.

Toni Gonzaga is now being billed as The Ultimate Multimedia Star after her 2 concerts, Catch Me… and Catch Me… The Repeat. Although from what i gathered her latest concert Catch Me… The Repeat was only a mild hit thanks to an affair infront of Aliw Theater and no thanks to ASAP Live producing and promoting the Richard Poon concert on the same date. But Toni Gonzaga is gracious. She declined the title The Ultimate Multimedia Star saying, ” Title kaagad! Teka lang, dadalawang concerts lang nagawa ko, may title na agad. Saka na yang title, punuin muna natin yung mga susunod na venue.”

When mentioned that she could be the next Pops Fernandez as the Concert Queen, “Ganoon? Hindi ko alam. Ay sobra! Maraming puwedeng sumunod sa yapak niya, siguro bago ako, marami pa. Hayaan na natin yung iba pa. Marami pa akong kakaining bigas. Every day, kailangan kong mag-aral. Marami pa
akong dapat aralin,” Toni said.

Toni Gonzaga, as the multimedia star, aside from concerts will be hosting Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 and a movie with Vhong Navarro entitled Amnesia Girl. She is also slated to do a US Concert Tour.

In the love department, her relationship with Director Paul Soriano, or should i say the cutest director ever! Paul Soriano,(lucky Toni!) is still going strong, but they have no plans to settle down anytime soon. Who says successful career and a happy lovelife do not blend well in showbiz, not in Toni Gonzaga’s case.
