Love Me Again (Land Down Under) Premiere
The Angel Locsin and Piolo Pascual movie, Love Me Again (Land Down Under), was supposed to have been shown already to compete with the Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes starrer One True Love. But Star Cinema decided that Love Me Again (Land Down Under) should be made a quality movie so it did not rush it’s showing on theaters for competition’s sake, but rather it even poured in some more money into the film’s original budget to give the movie-going public their money’s worth. Love Me Again (Land Down Under) was shot on location in several locales including the exotic Mindanao highlands of Bukidnon and abroad, the land Down Under, Australia. In fact, Piolo Pascual, Angel Locsin and the rest of the cast and crew took two weeks to complete their Australian shoot in Darwin, Queensland, Australia. And while shooting Land Down Under, Piolo Pascual was interviewed by ABC Rural (Australian Broadcasting Corporation).
Love Me Again (Land Down Under) is a romantic drama directed by Rory Quintos. The U.S. Premiere will be on December 6 and 7. Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin will attend the premiere scheduled in Los Angeles on December 6 and in Redwood City in the San Francisco Bay Area on December 7. The Philippine showing will be sometime in January 2009.

Pinoy Pride: Charmaine Clamor hit in American Jazz scene
Charmaine Clamor is the first Filipina jazz singer to find success on American radio, achieving the rare feat of simultaneously making the top-5 on both JazzWeek’s World (#2 ranking) and Traditional Jazz (#4) charts. Her debut album was “Searching for the Soul” (2005) and second album, “Flippin’ Out” (2007), were all critically acclaimed.
Don Heckman said in the LA TIMES, “When Charmaine Clamor’s warm, luscious contralto slips into a seductive rhythm or purrs through tender lyrics, there’s no doubt that a first-rate jazz talent is present. Her debut album Searching for the Soul announced the arrival of an impressive new vocal artist.”
Charmaine Clamor is the first jazz artist to release an album that synthesizes the soul and swing of American jazz with traditional Filipino folk music, languages and instruments — a hybrid she calls jazzipino. She headlined the sold-out and critically acclaimed 2005, 2006 & 2007 Filipino-American Jazz Festivals, at Catalina Bar & Grill, in Hollywood, California.
Originally from Subic, Zambales, Charmaine Clamor began her singing career at age 3, entertaining passengers (whether they liked it or not!) in the back of buses traveling to Manila.
