Korean actor Kwon Sang-woo, 32, just got married to actress Sohn Tae-young, 28, in a hotel grounds in Seoul, South Korea on Sept. 28, 2008.  Kwon Sang-woo is famous in the Philippines as well, appearing in hit TV shows like “Stairway to Heaven” and “Bad Love” and in movies like “My Tutor Friend” and “Fate.”

Sohn Tae-young, is a former beauty queen placing second runner up in the 2000 Miss Korea pageant. Sohn Tae-young then became an actress with movies “Sad Movie” and “The Railroad.” Sohn Tae-young currently hosts a beauty and fashion show called “Sohn Tae-young’s Life Magazine.”

The Kwon Sang-woo and Sohn Tae-young wedding was held at the Shilla Hotel with 300 guests in an exclusive and solemn ceremonies, a Korean traditional wedding. The guest list was star-studded and included their fellow actors So Ji-sub, Lee Byung-hun, Lee Jung-jae and Song Seung-heon.

Park Min-young star of Korea’s hit TV show, Hometown Legends and her breakout hit, I am Sam, has been the buzz in Korea and around the Asian region who loves Koreanovelas. Park Min-young has been revealed in leaked photos that she had undergone plastic surgery before becoming a star and the result was her more rounded eyes beauty now. Filipina actress Mercedes Cabral is voted as the Most Beautiful amongst the actresses who walked on the Red Carpet in the 61st Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France in an online poll. I guess Mercedes Cabral won as prettiest because of her exotic looks. She beat Cate Blanchett, Penelope Cruz, Natalie Portman, Salma Hayek, Madonna, among others. Penelope Cruz was more stunning, IMHO. Mercedes Cabral was in Cannes for her movie, “Serbis” which was an Official Entry to the 61st Cannes Film Festival.

Mercedes Cabral is also off to Korea to shoot a movie entitled “Thirst” with 2004 Grand Prix winner for direction, Park Chan-woo, who won for the film “Oldboy.” In “Thirst,” Mercedes Cabral plays the Filipina wife of a Korean national who is very passionate about their love affair.

My Girl premiered on Monday, May 26 after Lobo in ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida. And it posted an impressive debut in the no.5 slot with 28% audience share in Mega Manila, topping ABS-CBN’s primetime block.
