Joey De Leon calls Pokwang Aswang

August 17, 2008 · Filed Under Eat Bulaga, Pokwang, Wowowee, joey de leon · 42 Comments
In the Grand Fiesta Eat Bulaga in Los Angeles Show, it was not only the flop issue that became very much controversial. Recently surfacing in Youtube is a video wherein Joey De Leon in a song referred to Pokwang as Aswang (witch, creature, etc..). Of course this remark did not go unnoticed to Pokwang and her co-stars in Wowowee. Willie Revillame in a televised remark said that everyone should respect Pokwang because she is after all only “tao din” (human too). Pokwang meanwhile said, “ Eh, siguro lab niya ako. Hayaan na lang natin ang lolo niyo, basta ako magta-trabaho na lang ako at magpapaligaya ng mga tao.”

In fairness to Joey De Leon, maybe the reference is meant to be a joke as both of them are comedians but could border on being below the belt, depending on the person who is going to overhear it. Watch the alleged video where Joey De leon referred to Pokwang as Aswang below:

KC Concepcion to do a movie with GMA Films

May 22, 2008 · Filed Under ABS-CBN, GMA, KC Concepcion, Richard Gutierrez · Comment
KC Concepcion will be doing a light romance flick with matinee idol and GMA-7 contract star Richard Gutierrrez because KC Concepcion has signed a movie contract with GMA-7’s movie outfit GMA Films too.

“It’s actually become an ex-deal. Richard was lent to Star Cinema, was lent to ABS-CBN by GMA, and in return Star or ABS-CBN is lending me to GMA. So ‘yun ang nakuha ng GMA because sila naman yung lumapit for the tandem,” KC said.

KC Concepcion already signed for a movie project with Star Cinema for her first film and of course it is with Richard Gutierrez. Star Cinema got Richard Gutierrez for a one-movie deal.

KC said she prayed hard for her first movie deal that it should be with Richard Gutierrez, and after it was sealed she lit candles at Madeleine Church in Paris. KC went to Paris for a short vacation on May 1st, and flew back to the Philippines on May 8th. “Nagsindi ako ng dalawang kandila and nag-thank you ako sa lahat ng nangyari. And talagang ‘yun nga yung imposible ay nangyari napagbigyan.”

Richard Gutierrez went to ABS-CBN yesterday for the story conference of their movie which will start shooting next week. KC Concepcion went to GMA today for the contract signing accompanied by manager, Sandra Chavez. “I’m so excited. I’m so nervous. I think this is time naman para i-welcome ako sa GMA-7,” KC said.
