The phenomenal loveteam of Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson popularly known as Kimerald returns to Philippine television via MY GIRL. My Girl is the Filipino version of the hit Koreanovela My Girl. My Girl premiered on Monday, May 26 after Lobo in ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida. And it posted an impressive debut in the no.5 slot with 28% audience share in Mega Manila, topping ABS-CBN’s primetime block.

Di ba, sosyal ang title. Yes, Farina Runkle who was revealed as “Shy” in Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus became very popular in this very blog more than 1 year ago. The blog post entitled, Gerald Anderson’s Girlfriend Farina Runkle became an instant hit getting more or less 100,000 people to have viewed the story SO FAR, based on my Statcounter, and syempre, with this “revival” expect more people to view it. I actually just discovered this story again, because i was looking at my incoming traffic and people are coming in from Google searching the keyword Farina Runkle. Then it hit me that i had that very popular story of Farina Runkle scandalous pics with Gerald Anderson before.

At least now, magkakalevel na sila at pare-pareho na silang Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition contestants. But of course, Kim Chiu is “the” Grand Winner..Reportedly, it was Farina Runkle herself who emailed to everyone those scandalous pics of herself and Gerald Anderson before…

Kim Chiu turned 18 last April 19, 2008 and to celebrate her debut, ABS-CBN left no stones unturned for one of its precious star possessions. They made it a fantastic debutante celebration at the Glass Garden. It will be shown as a television special entitled ” “My Girl Turns 18” which will be aired on May 4, Sunday at 9:30pm. Kim Chiu was excited but at the same time, shy and very scared. “Dati pinapanood ko lang sa tv ang mga debut ng mga artista at dreaming na ako yon. Kaya naman this is really a dream come true for me. Para talagang fairy tale!”

Her gowns for her pictorials and the debut were created by Francis Libiran. The sumptuous food was catered by Hizon’s and the Glass Garden was decked with adornments and flowers by Lily Flower Boutique. Souvenirs were from Charms and Crystals which was a big hit to the attendees.

And Of course, when there’s Kim, Gerald Anderson is not far apart. “As I take my stand and get ready to soar the vast sky, it would please me to have you by my side….” says Kim Chiu to Gerald Anderson in the debut party.

Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson are co-starring in the Claudine Barretto starrer ” Maligno ” and will soon be seen as the stars of the localized version of the famous Korean telenovela “ My Girl. ”

Hiyang-hiya si Gerald Anderson sa business man na si Edgar Mangahas dahil sa mga naglabasang balita na gay benefactor niya ito.

Sinabi ni Gerald na wala silang relasyon ni Edgar at lalong hindi siya binigyan ng condo unit nito pero inaming magkapit-bahay sila sa Montgomery Place sa E. Rodriguez, Quezon City dahil ito ang nag-rekomenda sa kanya tumira doon.

Ayon sa young actor, kilala na niya si Edgar bago pa man siya sumali sa Pinoy Big Brother house dahil kaibigan ito ng kanyang manager na si Jun Reyes.

Iginiit ni Gerald na wala namang masama kung may mga kaibigan man siyang bading pero wala aniya siyang balak na makipag-relasyon sa mga ito.

The Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson starrer “Sana Maulit Muli” is a hit in Taiwan. Taiwan Public Television Service Channel 13 bought the rights to “Sana Maulit Muli,” which was aired in the Philippines from January 8, 2007 to April 20, 2007.

The show has been dubbed in Taiwanese and renamed “Chances” for the Taiwanese audience. It is being aired in Taiwan Mondays to Fridays at 11 p.m. Bong Osorio, head of ABS-CBN corporate communications, said that the Kim Chiu - Gerald Anderson romantic tv series “Sana Maulit Muli” is a hit in Taiwan.

Osorio said he hopes the airing of “Sana Maulit Muli” in Taiwan will begin a trend of Filipino-produced series being aired there. He said other TV stations in Taiwan have already expressed interest in acquiring other ABS-CBN titles after the success of “Chances”

Before “Sana Maulit Muli” ABS-CBN sold “Pangako Sa’yo,” another drama series to the international market. The show, which stars Jericho Rosales and Kristine Hermosa, has been aired in Southeast Asia and Africa.
