Kris Aquino and Charlene Gonzales confrontation
An alleged confrontation between Kris Aquino and Charlene Gonzales happened at the Metro fashion show by Randy Ortiz. Randy Ortiz allegedly made a gown for Kris Aquino, Charlene Gonzales and Lucy Torres-Gomez for the Metro Fashion event. Randy Ortiz is suppose to make three different creations/designs but of the same color. When Charlene Gonzales arrived, Kris Aquino was surprised that Charlene Gonzales was wearing a Randy Ortiz creation but of a different color than was conceptualized. Kris Aquino allegedly said something like, “Ay, gusto mo’ng magpa-star no?
To which Charlene Gonzales allegedly replied, “Bakit, pangit ba?
“No, maganda naman. Hindi mo lang sinunod ‘yung motiff, ” Kris allegedly replied.
Apparently, this did not sit well with Charlene Gonzales but waited until after the fashion show, and confronted Kris allegedly saying, “Kris, do you have a problem with me?
Kristeta allegedly replied, “No, it was was just a joke!”
To which, Charlene allegedly said, “Hindi e! I think you really have a problem with me!”. Tetay allegedly just kept quiet. (More than unlikely!)
And after which, Charlene allegedly told her husband Aga Muhlach about the incident and Aga Muhlach was reportedly fuming mad at Kris and allegedly said, “Kris, you don’t know me when i’m angry!” to Charlene.
And the said Kris Aquino and Charlene Gonzales confrontation was reportedly witnessed by Ruffa Gutierrez, Claudine Barretto, Bea Alonzo and Phoemela Baranda.
My take. I don’t think so. Nice try. Charlene Gonzales and Aga Muhlach are much nicer than that and would definitely not react like that and especially to Kris Aquino. Kris Aquino may have been dissed for allegedly saying so many tactless things but i highly doubt this incident. If ever it took place, some things said may have been exaggerated.
Update:
Kris in a text message sent to TV Patrol World said that her mistake was that she cracked a joke at someone who is not close to her. Also, the Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal host recalled the issue between her and Charlene about the cancellation of the latter’s weekend program.
“Di ba nga when her show in ABS was cancelled, ako’ng napagbintangan na dahilan and I already answered na di naman ako nagkaroon ng weekend show. Obviously, she doesn’t like me and my mistake was I gave her another reason to dislike me. Iniintindi ko na lang. I joked with the wrong person, so I apologized right away.”

Piolo Pascual and Dingdong Dantes team up
“Well, it is on the producer’s perception. Yun ang tingin ng mga kliyente dahil siguro, nakikita nilang swak kami doon sa hinahanap nilang image ng produkto. Siyempre, ayaw ko rin namang sabihin on top or hottest, siguro it’s just good to say that we just fit doon sa hinahanap nilang qualities.”
When Dingdong Dantes was interviewed, he did not know that the ad has already been aired on TV.
“Actually, akala ko nga next month pa. Pero biglang lumabas na nga raw, like sa YES! magazine September 2008 issue. Pero yung TVC yata, hindi pa. I think isa yun sa dapat na abangan nila kasi, maganda yung concept ng commercial. We have to look for the next Pond’s girl. We’re in search for two women and ide-date namin sila.”
Dingdong also mentioned that this is not the first time that he has worked with Piolo Pascual. He has worked with Piolo 5 years ago in a show in Japan with the Side A Band. They were also in the fashion show 2 years ago, Rampa for A Cause organized by Ruffa Gutierrez and the rest of the Gutierrez family.
“Yung mga ganoong incident, pero ngayon lang talaga kami nagkasama for one project. Maganda nga ngayon kasi nagkakaroon ng fusion ng two different networks, much more that he (Piolo) has already established his name, his career, his personality. So, noong sinabi nila sa akin na I’ll be working with him, para sa akin, isang magandang opportunity siya. So, without hesitation talaga, I was excited about the project.”

Boy Abunda go-see scandal
“I have nothing to do with the choices of models. Dumadating ako dun, nagso-show, umaalis. Kinonfront ko, sinabi ko sa staff nila,” Boy said in an interview with PEP.
“Nung napag-uusapan lang na there’s a need for models, conscious ako na siguraduhin ninyong nasa edad, siguraduhin ninyong well-represented, na kung may mga managers, you talk to them well, yun lang ang paalala ko sa kanila. After that, wala na ako.”
When news that reportedly models were made to strip off, Boy said, “I called them, yung mga staff, yung in-charge talaga dun sa show. I wasn’t able to talk to Joel about it, but I spoke to Mark, he’s very good and I said na, ‘Mark, hindi ito maganda para sa akin, hindi maganda ito para kay Joel, hindi ito maganda para sa produkto.’
“Sabi ko, ‘Can you take a look at this? Kasi whether it has a basis or not, pagtuunan ninyo ng pansin.’ Kasi I expressed na hindi ko ito gusto. Pinaghuhubad sa go-see. Kung sa Bench, naiintindihan mo kasi it’s an underwear show.”
“Ang ano lang, ang nangyari, rigth after that go see, I had one meeting with them and they presented to me all the photos. Dun ako naglinya ng, ‘Can you make sure that they are of age? Can you make sure that they are well-represented?‘
“Pero wala akong tinanggihan, wala akong tinanggal, wala akong nagustuhan, wala akong pinili. It’s not within my territory. Wala sa teritoryo ko ‘yon. But actually, technically speaking, puwede naman. Pero sa dami ba naman ng ginagawa ko, magagawa ko pa ba ‘yon?
“Ang pinakialaman ko, right after the first show in SM Bacoor, I spoke to the staff, to the director. Sabi ko, i-improve ninyo yung modeling. Sabi ko, medyo hindi ko maunawaan ang… I know the director, si Dennis, and he’s very open. Pero sabi ko, hindi ko alam kung saan papunta. Ibig kong sabihin, papunta dun yung isa, yung isa papunta dun. I’m very familiar with fashion shows, from local to Vivienne Westwood, I know what I’m talking about.
“Pero sabi ko, it’s supposed to be the finale, ayusin. Naayos naman sa second at sa third. But the perfect one is the one in SM North EDSA, that’s how it should have been. Pero sabi ko, I wanted more attitude, kasi it’s a perfume, di ba? I wanted more attitude. And I wanted more daring. Yun ang diniscuss ko, yun lang.
“Kasi ang feeling ko, wala akong panahon for the show. Ngayon ko lang narinig yung mga nangyari. I am not one to judge, I am not one to judge. I’d like to see what was the intent, pero tapos na nga kasi, e.
“Kasi initially, ito naman ang background nun. Matagal na matagal na, nung pinag-uusapan namin yung perfume, kasi ang haba ng proseso niyan, e… Yung packaging yung scent, kung paano ang letra, kung paano ang layout. Yun talaga, nakialam ako, kasi akin ‘yon, e.
“It’s [the perfume] selling, bumebenta. It’s really, really selling.
“Anyway, when we were talking about it, pero yung scent, involved ako dun, as in. Hindi naman ako expert, pero alam ko ang mabango. Amoy ako nang amoy at kung ano ang choice ko. In fairness, Joel would listen. At tsaka alam ko ‘yung packaging na gusto ko. Matagal pa rin bago ako nagdesisyon kung ano yung gusto ko. Mga ka-meeting ko, ‘Amuyin mo nga?’ si Kris (Aquino)!
“In the beginning, I wanted the perfume to be sexy. Sabi ko, ang gusto ko sana… Noon pa ito ha. Sabi ko gusto ko sana, katawan ng babae, ‘tapos katawan ng lalaki, tapos naiipit ako na may komedi ng konti. That was one of the concepts.
“Ikinukuwento ko ito sa inyo not because I want to legitimize how they do their go-see, but nanggaling kami dun. Akin kasi ‘yang for all sexes kasi na ‘yan, e, that’s my line. Hanggang napunta dun, maraming pinagdaanan yun. Initially, we wanted to launch the perfume in Rockwell tent, with a sosyalan party. Until I said, hindi ako kumportable, kasi masa ang market ko, I wanna launch in the mall na may fashion show, na may ano… Pero yun, napunta dun.”
“No, no…Tapos na yun, nakuwento ko lang sa inyo, noon pa yun. Hindi itutuloy ang sexy concept. Hindi, kasi ‘yan na ‘yang packaging, yung simple na lang na a box na may… ‘Tapos ang pictorial na naka-kabuki.
“Ako, nalulungkot ako ngayon na naririnig ko ito ngayon. Buti na lang it’s over, and nalulungkot ako because I don’t know, wala akong ideya na… Ako, technically, I’m coming in as a talent, at siyempre pangalan ko ‘yan, e.
“Ako, kakausapin ko sila, pagsasabihan ko sila after this conversation. Ako naman, as a human being, as a person, meron akong pakialam. Kasi even in the shows, I don’t even see the models, until they are on stage. After the show, I don’t see them kasi, di ba, iba sila ng dressing room? I host the show, I intro, I watch the show, and then tapos na.
“I was informed that there’s gonna be an audition, for the modeling part, but I don’t know how it’s done. Hindi ko alam. Hindi bahagi ng trabaho ko, not because wala akong pakialam. It’s not within my territory, in other words.‘
“Alam mo yun, nobody would be abusive if there’s no one who’s willing to be abused. Hindi ko sinasabing tama ang ginagawa ng mga nang-aabuso, ano? Generally speaking, di ba?
“Minsan naawa naman ako sa mga bakla na ‘pag sinabing bakla, meron na agad pumapasok na koneksiyon na hindi puwedeng mahalin, hindi puwedeng igalang, kasi pera lang ang hanap. But that’s entirely a different debate.
“Mas lalong napapasama nga dahil meron tayong mga kapatid din na ang main concern ay mang-abuso. Ang libog may lugar. Kung gusto mong manghala, may lugar. Buhay nila ‘yon, huwag tayong maglinis-linisan. Kung gusto mong magmahal, may lugar.
“Lahat dapat nasa lugar and that message goes for all-lalaki, bakla, babae, tomboy. At tsaka kung propesyonal ang trabaho, i-propesyonal mo.”
