The 1st ever Supreme To The Extreme Awards were held last night at the Embassy Super Club, and among the notables present were archenemies, Joey De Leon and Willie Revillame who kissed and made up that night. Willie Revillame won the Televisionary Award and in his thank-you speech, Willie shared the award with Joey de Leon saying, “I would like to share this award to a supreme talent, supreme icon, my idol, Mr. Joey de Leon. I share this award.”

“Tito Joey! Alam n’yo, lambingan lang naman namin yung sa TV, lambingan lang namin yun. Alam n’yo, tinulungan ako ng taong ‘yan nagsisimula pa lang ako. Ako ang sidekick niya sa pelikulang Barbie. Kinuha rin nila ako ni Vic Sotto sa pelikulang Sam and Miguel. Akala n’yo, ganoon lang, nag-aaway kami, hindi ho, yun ay patutsadahan lang, lambingan. Si Mr. Joey de Leon, I admire this guy so much. Maliit pa lang ho ako, nasa telebisyon na siya. Siya ang ginagaya ko. Tito Joey!” Willie Revillame remarked.

On his part, Joey De Leon remarked, “Pasalamat tayo kay Tim at sa Supreme. Tama ang sabi ni Willie, mga tuksuhan lang ‘yan. Kaya lang, yung dalawang co-hosts mo, paliwanag muna nila kung bakit nakikiiyak sa ‘yo?” To which Willie Revillame responded, “Alam n’yo naman kami, artista! Ikaw nga ang nagturo sa akin niyan. Pero alam mo, hindi ba na-suspend ako, pero noong na-suspend ka, nakidalamhati rin ako!”

The winners were voted by the readers of the The Philippine Star SUPREME online (sponsor of this site, you can visit them for more through the sidebar banner ad), which is also published every Saturday in the Philippine Star (national broadsheet).

This is the aftermath of that whole “Joey De Leon explain before you complain” and Willie Revillame crying brouhaha that happened on national TV. Back in January, the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) absolved the noontime show Wowowee from any irregularity resulting from its Wilyonaryo segment (Check out the video and transcript in that Wilyonaryo link). On the other hand, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) NCR filed an Administrative case against ABS-CBN as per a fact finding panel have recommended. The fact finding panel was composed of the Consumer Welfare Trade Group, Bureau of Trade Regulation Cosumer Protection, representatives from MTRCB, KBP, and a consumer organization Nationwide Association of Consumers.

ABS-CBN, in January has released this statement:

“ABS-CBN is extremely disappointed with the charges filed by the Department of Trade and Industry…ABS-CBN categorically denies any wrongdoing or violation of law. ABS-CBN is reiterates…there was a design flaw in the wheels but there was never any intention to gain any advantage over contestants or control te outcome of the contests. ABS-CBN will answer the charges and is confident that it will be absolved of any liability.”

On Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) formally released the results of its investigation and found ABS-CBN guilty of the irregularity in the Wowowee Wilyonaryo segment and ordered ABS-CBN to pay P290,000 in fines and with an execution of written undertaking. This is what in part is the dispositive portion of the 11 page judgment by the DTI:

“A reasonable assessment of the existing game mechanics and procedures implemented at the time of the subject 20 August 2007 Wilyonaryo episode reveals that the game show segment allowed a reasonable likelihood of error and provided the host and organizers significant latitude in controlling the outcome of the contest.”

On GMA’s showbiz talk show Startalk where Joey De Leon is also a co-host, Joey De Leon refused to answer directly the Pokwang aswang brouhaha but took a swipe yet again on Pokwang. Joey De Leon said:

“Ayoko na sanang patulan ‘to pero papatulan ko na. Yung kay Pokwang, may isa lang akong sasabihin. Wala akong sinabing ganun Pokwang. Naiiyak na ako e. Bukas magbasa ka ng Philippine Star. Sinasabi nyo na tinutukso daw ang anak mo na aswang daw ang nanay niya, isa lang ang masasabi ko…ilipat mo ng bubong.”

And just before Startalk was about to end, Joey De Leon collaterally said:

“Meron pa akong idadagdag pa uli kay Pokwang. Nagpasalamat siya sa akin dahil sumisikat na siya, sa news nila no. Natutuwa ako at sumisikat ka na kaya lang Pokwang, yung mga sumisikat sa show niyo tinatanggal yun. Kaya ingat ka dahil yung host dun ayaw na nalalagpasan. Bawal dun ang lumalagpas sa host, isa lang ang host dun e. Kaya ingat ka rin, kaya sana, wag kang masyadong sumikat para hindia ka matanggal.”

Yet another celebrity skin scandal. EB Babes member Lian Paz or someone closely resembling Lian Paz has been photographed with no top on in what seemed to be a dressing room or a hotel room. The photo is not really that scandalous, the alleged EB Babe Lian Paz has her arm wrapped around her, just enough to not reveal anymore skin. EB Babe Lian Paz is the former girlfriend of another controversial actor of late, Mark Herras. And not to mention that EB in EB Babes means Eat Bulaga, the most controversial of late.

Joey De Leon reacted to what Willie Revillame had said yesterday. Naturally so since Joey De Leon, who is being referred now only as JDL in forums, is after all not someone to backdown from a fight. As he puts it, Joey De Leon grew up in Sampaloc and in a slum environment with Lolit Solis, and in his own words he said, “pag nakipag away ako parang bata.” These remarks were said in that feud with columnist Dindo Balares but was not exclusive to that when JDL uttered it and in the succeeding explanations. So with those, expect the feud to not end from here.
