Pls. note that these are still tentative schedules and also tentative shows, although most are either in the planning stage or are already shooting. The Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) announced the nominees of the 24th Star Awards For
Movies 2008, to be held on June 27, in the Henry Lee Irwin Theater, Ateneo De Manila University, Quezon City. The late Rudy Fernandez will be awarded a posthumous Ulirang Artista Lifetime
Achievement Award.

The 24th Star Awards for Movies will be shown via delayed telecast on ABS-CBN 2’s “Sunday’s Best” on Sunday, June 29 at 10 PM.

Carlo Aquino was adviced by a GMA Executive to hit the gym to get a new project in GMA-7, Carlo Aquino revealed this info.

“Medyo magpalaki lang daw ako ng katawan. Ever since daw kasi, payat lang ako. At kapag okey na ang katawan ko, puntahan ko raw siya at siya na ang gagawa ng paraan para magkaroon ako ng next project sa GMA-7,” Carlo said.

Well, it’s long overdue for him to do something about his image and physique. Carlo Aquino has the making of a sexy matinee idol if only he shifts his focus on acting, his once fledgling acting career took a nosedive when he decided to join a band. Once hailed as the future of Philippine cinema, hope quickly vanished when much of his PR is his chase of Angelica Panganiban, when his fan base are young teeners enamored by his cute and sexy looks. He is pursuing Maja Salvador at the present.

Last month Carlo Aquino went back to his erstwhile home studio ABS-CBN, for a stint in MMK, and these pics hint a sexy Carlo if only he will build on that image/persona…But he is not to keen on going the sexy route..

“Kung kaya, siguro. Pero yung hanggang kaya ko lang! Kapag may hiningi pa na hindi ko kaya, hindi na siguro. Basta lower [part of the body], hindi ko na kaya.”

Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin stars in the new show, Lobo, premiering tonight at what ABS-CBN calls, “ONE GR8, JANUARY 28, 2008!”. ONE GR8, JANUARY 28, 2008! is ABS-CBN’s new  primetime block and features three pilots.

The first pilot is Kung fu Kids after TV Patrol World, followed by the Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin’s starrer, Lobo. Lobo is also Angel Locsin’s ABS-CBN debut and her return to a teleserye after a long absence. Lobo is said to have been big budgeted like a full length movie. And judging from the screencaps here, it looks like Lobo is not just your run of the mill teleserye. Expect Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin to shake up the competition.

Lobo also stars Shaina Magdayao, Ryan Eigenman, Pilar Pilapil and many more young stars.

Another teleserye that will premiere tonight is Palos, starring Cesar Montano, Jake Cuenca and Roxanne Guinoo. It will air right after Lobo.

Completing ONE GR8, JANUARY 28, 2008! are Maging Sino Ka Man in its “walang tulugan” timeslot (lol) and the koreanovela, Spring Waltz.
