I wonder why in the world did they call it “Survivor Philippines” when they did it in Thaland? WTF!

@giodude: Survivor is a franchise, Philippines is the participant – not really the location. EG: Survivor France at Caramoan.

Before you post a comment, specially a negative one, do your research. Bago manlait, magcompare o magmura (WTF counts a “mura”), alamin muna ang mga bagay bagay.

Ang Survivor po, kahit anong bansa pa ang nagproduce, ay hindi ginagawa sa home country ng producer. Survivor Japan did a season in the Philippines. The US edition never did a season in the US. Kaya normal lang na ang Survivor Philippines ay hindi sa Pilipinas ginawa.

Next time, before you leap into an opportunity to bash the other station, check your info, less, you sound stupid.

franchise po ng gma ang survivor hindi gma ang orig nyan. at ang location talaga nyan ginagawa sa ibang bansa.

hahaha nakakatawa ung opinion ni Plaintiful. comment ng comment without even knowing what Survivor is really all about. i bet nde nya napanood kahit isa sa mga seasons ng survivor ni jeff probst. nde kasi sya survivor fan talaga. and though i dont like the idea of the show being in GMA, since survivor started showing naman sa studio 23 talaga, its great na they were able to get a franchise of one of the most successful reality shows ever. and it was because of this show’s success kung bakit andaming reality shows ang nagsulputan.
havent watched any of the episoides kasi my sched needs me to sleep early. i just hope na nde extra challenge ang kalabasan, and sana maging sobra sikat din nito sa pinas. and sana mag labas sila ng dvd para dun ko mapanood. ehehehe ^_^
    peace out!

ang bobo nyo naman. its on the contract that the competition itself will be held at a different country. mga pinoy itigil nyo n pagco2ment ng di nyo alam cnasabi nyo, napa2hiya lng ang pinas. KAPAMILYA PISSED OFF!

Plaintiful is really Pitiful. Kasi siya ang lumalabas na Eng Eng. LOL. As what others here say, the Survivor Franchise should be held in another country to avoid place familiarity. Unfair nga naman kung sa Pilipinas gagawin tapos ang isang contestant ay taga dun pala o kaya nakapunta na doon sa lugar.

i totally agree with you miks… im a true blue kapamilya but im watching this just because im also a survivor fan since season 1 in year 2000 (when richard hatch won over kelly in a very controversial tribal finale). marami pang kulang ang gma sa iniexpect ko sa survivor pero for me pasado na rin.. feeling ko tinatry nila na maging pinoy flavor talaga ung show unlike sa US na sobra talaga ang bashing and connivance nila… in fairness, magaling ang jarakay sa blindsiding (like blindsiding john and gigit). nakukulangan pa rin ako kay paolo kung paano sya magtanong sa tribal council.. sana napanood nya si jeff probst kung pano nya pinoprovoke ung tribe na nasa tribal council kung paano nila palalabasin ung totoong nangyayari sa tribe kc kung kumwestiyon sya, parang nasa teleserye eh hello! survivor kaya to… sana mag-improve talaga ang show kc love ko talaga ang show na ito sa US…

PAOLO IF YOU READ THIS PLEASE SHUT YOUR MOUTH!!! PARANG EXTRA CHALLENGE NA LANG ANG DATING NG SHOW. ITS A FAR CRY FROM THE ORIGINAL VERSION. THE PROPS AND THE CHALLENGES DI PINAG-ISIPAN. WHAT A BUNCH OF IDIOTS! MAKE IT WORTHY TO CALLED A “SURVIVOR” SHOW.

  13. flipping_guy on October 22nd, 2008 2:16 am

actually from what ive noticed, all the challenges that they play in survivor philippines are replicas of all the challenges that have been played in all seasons of survivor us like ung basagin ung something at kukunin ung susi (parang sa survivor: exile island ata un kc naalala ko na nilaro un nina ozzy) anyways, ang problem ko lang kung paano magreferee si paolo sa mga challenges. sobrang gulo nya.. as in.. basta i am firm to my word na kailangan nya talaga ng seminar kay jeff probst… okay sana na meron syang different identity kay jeff p. because no one can be compared to him pero sana hindi naman masyadong hilaw ung paghohost ni paolo sa show na ito… basta…

  14. non kapamilya / non kapuso on October 23rd, 2008 5:24 am

I think about the challenges, it cant be helped if they are just replicas from the US version. Probably, challenges need the approval of the survivor franchise first or maybe its part of the agreement that they’ll be the one to provide the challenges. As you would have noticed, the tribal council area is just like the one in Survivor 5. Besides, even the US version “copied” some challenges from other versions.

I think the show is good enough. Of course they want to Filipinized the show, hehehe.

  15. ponz on November 6th, 2008 12:09 pm

    i don’t care…
basta ako, i like survivor philippines.
we must love our own version..
US version is US version and “pinoy” version is “pinoy” version
    tapos…
