Scott MacIntyre sent packing from American Idol

Scott MacIntyre was sent packing from “American Idol” in tonight’s Top 8 Elimination Results Show. Scott MacIntyre sang “The Search Is Over,” and aptly his Idol days is over. Scott MacIntyre, who is 23-year-old and from Scottsdale, Arizona, is legally blind. In fact, in tonight’s American Idol results show, Anoop Desai was serving as Scott’s sight buddy, and was patiently assisting Scott around the floor like he was a beloved older brother. Scott was eliminated after the four judges, Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Kara DioGuardi and Randy Jackson, split on whether to use their once-per-season veto power. With Kara and Paula favoring Scott to stay.

The Bottom Three in American Idol Top 8 tonight are Lil Rounds, Anoop Desai and Scott McIntyre. Lil Rounds got the first sigh of relief and the bottom Two was Anoop Desai and Scott McIntyre, and eventually it was Scott’s name that was announced to get the boot.
