80’s pop icon Rick Astley is in Manila for a one night only concert at the Big Dome today, August 1, 2009 at 8 pm. And expect a nostalgic crowd tonight. Rick Astley is the man behind such, radio staples (even now), as “Never Gonna Give You Up,” (remember that Roderick Paulate dance!) , “Hold Me In Your Arms,” “Together Forever,” and “Cry For Help,” all of which are my guilty pleasures, lol.  I just love listening to his songs on weekends (Syempre may sawa factor din minsan). If i were you and you also like Rick Astley, i’d watch him perform tonight..

Did you know that Rick Astley became an internet viral video sensation last year when viewers of other popular videos in YouTube were instead redirected to the video of Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up.” An estimated 25 million people were tricked in the practice now called “rickrolling” wherein a person provides a Web link they claim is relevant to the topic at hand, but the link actually takes the user to the Rick Astley video. Sounds fun!
