Richard Gutierrez in Zorro
Zorro star, Richard Gutierrez, and former TGIS star, Michael Flores, reportedly got into a public scandal at the parking lot of the Oceana Restaurant which is along Seaside Boulevard in Pasay City. Reminiscent in a way with what happened with Bayani Agbayani in a The Fort restaurant’s parking lot also. Epy Quizon, son of Comedy King, Dolphy, was also reportedly involved in the melee. Allegedly, Richard Gutierrez, Michael Flores and allegedly Epy Quizon among others, engaged in a heated squabble which was marred with heated words being exchanged by the parties involved. Richard and Michael use to work together in GMA’s primetime series, Kamandag.
The actors were reportedly on their way home after attending the 40th birthday party of director Mark Reyes when the incident happened. Others are denying that the particular incident happened though, saying that they saw Richard Gutierrez leaving the party peacefully with Zorro co-stars Bubbles Paraiso and Michelle Madrigal, but those ‘others’ happened to have seen them left the restaurant itself and not on the vicinity of the restaurant’s parking lot. What is even more intriguing is that the GMA Network-owned website, Philippine Entertainment Portal or PEP, has initially run this story then abruptly removed it from their posts. Damage control for their most prized star? Just asking.
BTW, it can be remembered that Richard Gutierrez also figured in an altercation with Aljur Abrenica last year, October 17, 2008 at the posh Fiamma Bar in Makati City. The incident happened right after the ‘Experience GMA Show’ where the Kapuso stars, dressed to the nines, appeared as part of the inauguration of the 1 Billion-Peso GMA Network Studios.
