Meanwhile, ABS-CBN launched their official summer station I.D for 2007 called “Araw Natin ‘to, Kapamilya”. It’s basically ABS’s tradition to create a station ID every season (summer, Christmas, etc) and their ads do not fail to impress viewers. The songs are always catchy and the visuals are good.
GMA on their part also had an impressive Summamer na ID for Summer 2007.
Sorry to tell but for me ABS-CBN is still my no.1 Station! Comparison between ABS & GMA? Abs mas Modern. Tska sa mga artist mas ok ang sa ABS sa mga endorsements palang you can tell kung sino talaga ang sikat right? tska on my opinion ABS Trained their Artist very much even if they’re a son or daughter of a celebrity. with GNA No Comment d kasi ako talaga Kapuso eh. Kapuso ako ng KAPAMILYA!
Way better ang sa ABS halatang ginastusan. Sa GMA ayos lang naman kaso ang daming studio shots, parang tinipid.

It’s all but a part of a manipulation from the two station giants on who does what best. Bottomline: who cares more for the viewers? Which station has garnered more awards here and abroad? GMA – isn’t it. Even way back years ago when ABS was the No 1 station for several years, GMA doesn’t care if they’re only No 2. They don’t care if they’re modern or not. What they care about – is TRUE SERVICE TO FILIPINO people. Pansin nyo na hindi naman kagandahan ang mga talent and news anchor sa GMA but they’re DAMN GOOD in their craft. I guess I’m the only who prefers GMA out of the bunch. For me, ABS-CBN lacks the talent in both acting and singing. I honestly get embarrassed watching ASAP because the singers are pre-recorded proving they cannot take on the challenge of singing live. The show does not entertain me whatsoever. On the other hand, GMA’s SOP has real singers with real voices. The stage and lighting is brighter making it more appealing to the viewer. The problem I have with both stations is that they have melodramatic actors who cry at every episode. They also have singers-actors. If a person is a singer, then they are a singer. It is not wise to try to turn them into to an actor, if their strength is singing, and vice versa. I guess ABS-CBN is more popular here in the states because they were the first Filipino television station. But as far as talent goes, GMA seems to have more of it.
what i hate about GMA is ginagawa nilang tanga mg viewers nila. Parang hindi pinag-iisipan mga shows. BOKYA talaga!!!!
Idea wise,mas creative ang ABS-CBN when it comes to station id campaign,they started it all, sila nagpa-uso ng summer,christmas,rainy season id’s.
yung ginawa ng GMA na naka white top and jeans ang artists nila,studio shot pa,nagawa na ng ABS-CBN yan,GMA should came up with a fresher idea and approach sa kanilang ginawang campaign para hindi sila napaparatangan ng panggagaya.
I’d say I’m more of an observer than a kapuso nor a kapamilya.may shows din naman kasi ang both channels na like and dislike ko!
I love ABS-CBN’S creative production people,kitang kita yan sa mga opening ng kanilang variety shows,gusto ko rin yung mga finals ng PBB,talagang pinaghahandaan nila ang mga production numbers,unlike GMA where nung anniversary nila,kaka bore panoorin mga numbers kasi nagiging corny and all that.
Saludo naman ako sa GMA pagdating sa news and public affairs programs,talagang hindi matatawaran ang credibility ng mga tao nila sa bawat Serbisyong Totoo shows.
Wish ko lang sana GMA could also come up with their own NOONTIME show,Hindi naman nila pwedeng ipagmalaki ang Eat Bulaga,kasi Eat bulaga can stand on it’s own,kahit siguro ilagay yan saang channel,hindi na matitibag yan!

actually yung ibang shows ng ABS ay hindi original, kundi ginaya lng. Like Deal or No Deal, Pinoy Big Brother and believe it or not pero yung Sana Maulit Muli isn’t their original idea. Yung pinagbased ng teleseryeng Sana Maulit Muli ay galing sa movie na IF ONLY buti na lng iniba nila yung ending but still doon nangaling yung concept nun. Yung other 2 show galing din from other countries pati na rin yung theme song ng pinoy big brother it wasn’t our original song. I know that some of the shows that GMA has made havn’t been that good. But still they try their best to come up with great shows. and comment ko lang sa nagpost ng comment nung April 20, 2007 at 11:30 AM, there is one show that ABS made which is similar to GMA. I forgot the name but its about a girl who is ugly and has to endure a lot of sufferings, etc. This I can say is like the idea of GMA’s Bakekang.
Sa totoo lang not all the ideas for the shows of ABS-CBN are original. Some of these are Deal or no Deal of which Kris Aquino was the host, Pinoy Big Brother, and even the hit teleserye Sana Maulit Muli came from the idea of the movie IF ONLY. Buti na lng iniba nila yung ending kundi exactong exacto sya sa movie but still the idea is just copied. The other two shows, Deal or No Deal and Pinoy Big Brother just originated from the other countries. Honestly I do admit that not all of the shows presented by the GMA network is that great but still they try their best to come up with great shows such as Mulawin even though its not that great but it gave way for the rise of shows like Pedro Penduco, Enkantadia (forgot the spelling) and with the showing of Darna, which came from a comic book and was later on made into series of movies, later on ABS showed Panday, Super Inggo, Kristala and other series about heroes and heroines. This is just my reply to author of who made the comment on this post dated April 20, 2007 at 11:30 AM. It just got me mad when the author on the comment of this post said that GMA has been stealing ideas. Let me just give one example yung bagong palang show ng ABS na tungkol sa isang pangit na dumans ng hirap kagaya sya ng hit na show ng GMA na Bakekang

We’re talking about the station IDs of the two TV giants (after all, the article was all about this) – any normal and sane person will agree with me that ABS’ was more appealing than GMA’s. It’s a no-brainer. Mas maganda ang gawa ng ABS. But I AM A KAPUSO. Aminado ko yun coz I’m not plastic. Pero, sa staion ID lang maganda yung sa ABS.

1. SHOWS-madaming show ang GMA na better kesa ABS. Mula Unang Hirit, Sis (ang korni ng Homeboy, I respect Boy Abunda pero minsan pangit ng eps), Wowowee and Bulaga? Ngek, pinagtatyagaan na lang tong noontime shows na to kase wala nang ibang choice. Bulaga – dami hosts! Nakakaumay! Wowowwee mukhang pera to the point na dina kapanipaniwala ang mga drama ng mga tao dun. Then DRAMARAMA sa hapon appeals to the MASA crowd then 24 ORAS is better coz mas mapagkakatiwalaan si Mike kahit OA siya in delivering the news, what’s important is the news itself – hindi sensationalized. Then TELEBABAD is better than PRIMETIME BIDA (Asian Treasure great locations! Great story! Super Twins appeals to the young while LUPIN has the naughty-romantic theme that’s entertaining as well). On the other hand, ROUNIN’s production looks expensive (Id on’t know the story yet – but Angelica is SOOO mataba in her costume hah, yuck talaga) and MAGING SINO KA MAN first eps were great pero naging korni na ng bandang huli. We’ll see if Piolo/Claudine’s show will rate. ABS is gambling more on the drama-romance theme while GMA is more on fantasy-action theme. Generally, ang ABS na ang naghihintay kung ano ipapalabas ng GMA before sila gumawa ng bagong show. Unlike before na it’s the other way around.

SOP? ASAP? Me time na maganda ASAP (because of emerging talents) but most of the time mas maganda SOP coz of our home-grown talents REGINE, OGIE, JAYA, JANNO. Namamayagpag lang naman ang ASAP dahil kina Sarah pero mga matatanda like Gary, haller – matatapatan ba niya si Ogie and Janno?
Boy Abunda is a great host – i just hate his fashion sense. Kris is just taklesa that’s why people love her – hate ko din fashion sense nya. Pia Guanio is sexy pero boring minsan mag host. Walang tatalo sa Vic and Joey tandem.
3… news? Obviously, GMA is well-respected and much better in this field than ABS. You can feel their sincerity kase in their shows.
4….young, emerging talents? Starstruck vs SCQ? Haller? Asan na ba si Sandara? Kung si Roxanne di naghubad me career pb sya? Need I say more? Isa lang gsuto ko sa ABS na bago – si Maja Salvador, magaling sumayaw, magaling pa umarte. Angelic pa face.
5. …production/staff? Better ang GMA staff mas madami nagsasabi. Almost pampered ka ng staff sa GMA. Sa ABS diko alam.
6. utilities/technology used? Mas hi-tech ang ABS, I admit. Yung mga flying scenes sa mga fantaserye ng GMA hate ko! Kainis!
7. …rating? Minsan dinako naniniwala sa rating eh. Pareho number 1 hello! GMA maniniwala pako. Eh ang ABS nakakatwa, they keep saying they’re No 1 nationwide. Haller kase naman mas madaming sation ang ABS nationwide! Aminado ako na mas felt ang presence ng ABS nationwide kase naman mas madaming station. Eh kung nasa probinsya ka ba then ang TV station mo lang is ABS, ABC, RPN eh syempre sa ABS ka na manunuod.
Matalino na ang Pinoy, hoy! Kahit sabihin mong No 1 ang ABS nationwide, neknek mo sino niloloko mo? Sarili nyo lang kase hirap na hirap na kayong humabol sa GMA.

i rest my case. GMA is better than ABS. Kahit sang korte suprema pa tayo humantong. GMA has more heart than ABS. Yung mga Foundation chuva ek-ek ng ABS -naging Bantay Bata volunteer din ako dati. PEro ano nang nangyari dun? Ang hirap kase sa ABS pag dina nag rate – chugi na ang show! I remember may Bantay Bata 163 show pa dati and Hoy Gising which I really like before. Eh diba nakakatulong yun sa Pinoy? Nung dina nagrate – chugi! Unlike sa GMA na keber sila kung mag rate o hindi. What’s important is TRUE SERVICE to the FILIPINO people. Mag rate man o hindi – tuloy ang show! YAN ANG GMA!

…the debate on which station ID is better, is clearly over – din’t you read all the previous posts? We’re saying that ABS’ is the best – there’s no contest to that. GMA is not competing with how catchy or how appealing their ID is – true worth of it is CONTENT and VALUE. What did ABS’ ID showed? All the stomping and the kiddie some kinda-game – what’s the connection of that thing with summer? Unlike with GMA – all this years they showed how TRUE FILIPINO SPIRIT SURPASS ALL KINDS OF SEASON. They don’t need to do all the dancing and stomping and mukhang tanga moves to show the true Filipino spirit. Just a simple yet meaningful station ID will do all the wonders for you. Bottomline: heartfelt and sincere. Kaya nga KAPUSO eh.
…I-compare ba ang Kampanerang Kuba and Bakekang? Clearly they’re two different stories – two different themes. Bakekang is a story of a relationship of a mother with her two daughters while Kampanera is more of a love story – love triangle? I forgot. Diko kase pinagtyagaang panuorin – I can’t take it. They’re just similar in the sense that the main characters are not good-looking. Other than that, di ginaya ng Bakekang ang Kampanera. Eh diba pareho lang naman remake ang mga shows na to? And excuse me, Bakekang was the highest rated show while it was still airing. Eh dyosme nag-rate ba ang pinagmamalaki mong Kampanera?
…Regine post – that’s a debate that will go on forever. She’s a retokada alright -but name showbiz personalities who didn’t underwent plastic surgery, sino na lang ba ang au naturelle? Regine is beautiful – inside and out. Kahit pa retokada. Her story is a typical rags to riches one. She made her own name in the industry na walang inaagrabyado, sariling sikap sya and di nya kinakahiya ang pinanggalingan nya. She should be a role model to all aspiring singers.
You don’t need to post in ALL CAPS to prove your point. Obviously the poster is a die hard fan of Regine (sinabi nya na ngang avid fan sya eh), you don’t need to ask. Ang hirap sa’yo dika nagbabasa. Look who’s more pathetic. Basahin mo nang maayos hah bago ka mag-post – hindi puro opinion lang.

Who garnered more awards here, and especially abroad for being the best station and for other shows? Diba GMA? So pano mo masasabing mas maliit ang utak ng taga GMA kung di hamak mas madaming awards ang GMA kesa ABS? Diba awards are a true measure of just how intelligent and passionate you are in your craft?
Remember Wowowee stampede? Kung maliit ang utak ng taga GMA – mas maliit ang puso ng ABS. At least you can do something about a “maliit na utak” kesa sa mukhang pera and “maliit na puso” at ganid sa rating!

The latest I heard so far is papalitan na daw ng GMA ang kanilang new station id,maraming artists nila ang galit,mismong si kuya germs na tinuturing ng institusyon sa showbiz, dinaanan lang ng kamera,pati nga si joey deleon,kaylangan pang kumaway para lang mapansin mong sya nga yun, i agree on some posters comments na may dating ang id ng gma,though my point is,bakit kaylangan mo pang ibandera ang sangkaterbang artista,na dinaanan lang naman ng camera,kung ang theme ng id ay tungkol sa struggle ng mga magkakapuso?useless di ba?

i have nothing against mike enriquez,maganda rin naman ang 24 oras, nagbabalita rin kasi ako,kaya alam kong exags sya mag news.aminado naman ang gma na sa metro manila “ang” sila number one!
ang pinas ay hindi lang metro manila,maraming isla ito at nahahati sa 3 pulo,luzon,visayas at mindanao!
sa karamihan ng probinsya, mas marami kaming choices, dahil mostt are covered by cable already,minsan nga sa sobrang dami ng channel,mapagcocompare mo talaga kung ano ang magandang panoorin!

Simple yet inspiring yung station ID ng Kapuso network! Yung mga creative people ng DOS dapat hindi na pinapasweldo! kasi puro copya lang and ideas sa iba, kundi sa mga imported shows sa shows ng Kapuso! Pati nga mga shows ng mga channel 5 ginagawa na! It’s a “Run-In” time here. Better yet, nonsense to make arguments what is the best tv station in the Philippines. Everyone of us is entitled to have their own likes and dislikes. But for me, it’s still GMA-7 as my number 1 tv station. GMA again is planning to construct another high-rised building, with the latest state of the art technology from Europe and Japan (FYI). No wonder GMA is considered one of the best in ASIA and the world. I loved Kapuso Network.

Ratings are provided by Nielsen, a privately owned 3rd company. Read: NOT GMA – but NIELSEN. This company have no affiliation whatsoever with GMA-7 and ABS-CBN. Ratings are done by RANDOMLY selecting households either Metro Manila-wide or nationwide. Since they are privately-owned, NIELSEN provide the facts – without bias, without criticism. The TV ratings is so HI-TECH to the point that they provide per second rating, not only for the whole show but by the second – very specific up to the time of commercial slot.
Sorry to say about what you said about pinapayaman ng GMA ang NIELSEN. Kase po GMA is not only the client of NIELSEN – you have ALL the TV stations, including cable-owned channels (ang dami nun ah in fairness!). Kaya hindi lang GMA ang nagpapayaman sa NIELSEN kase lahat ng TV stations eh binabayaran ang NIELSEN. Di lang nila syempre pinapakita ang results ng ratings nila. Kaya nga sa ratings na pinapakita ng GMA, hindi naman lahat ng shows nila eh nangunguna ang GMA, coz that’s the truth. That’s what Nielsen provides them.
Of course, if your shows are the best in their slot – syempre you’ll BRAG and BE PROUD about it. Alangan namang ipakita ng ABS how their shows are drowning down the sink diba? Ganun din naman ang ABS years ago pinapakita din naman nila ratings nila dati pa ah – super kulelat nga GMA nun pero it’s the truth – that’s the fact eh.
Oh, and thank you about the clarification about the Sumamer ID. FYI, station IDs and the Sumamer station ID are ONE and THE SAME. Station IDs are defined as whatever the TV station does with their ID/logo/theme on it. So kung summer man o christmas o kung anumang panahon, station ID yun as long as their logo/ID/theme is shown. Pareho lang yun, iba lang ang term. AY SUS, sino kaya t*nga. I don’t wanna use the term you used kase I’m sure you’re smarter than what you posted.

Pareho lang ang 2 stations sa ipinaglalaban – pero clearly – GMA has more concern over this issue than ABS. Kanya kanyang asset lang ng station yan. That’s what good about GMA. the rating gods may not be in favor of abs-cbn these days… but i’ll be a loyal kapamilya for life… para sa akin, nagkaroon ng kulay ang telebisyon dahil sa abs-cbn… i’m not saying that abs-cbn is perfect though… i have some disappointments with abs-cbn… may mga ayaw akong artista… may mga moves sila na hindi ko gusto… but i must say, abs-cbn pa rin ang number 1 for me…

i agree with all of you………… GMA is way more better than ABS-CBN……………….. shows in ABS is so very boring SOMETIMES why?, because first they will air a EXCELLENT PILOT EPiSODE and then suddenly after a FEW WEEKS may be we can consider 2WEEKS after the pilot EPISODE it begins the BORING part. …………. and you will AGREE with me if I SAY that GOOD shows in GMA are being COPIED by the other network like the trip show of ABS i forgot the title but it is all about trips abroad……….. it was just a great lie that they ORIGINALY own that show………. pye!!!!!!!!!!!!!
