Metro Manila Film Festival Awards Winners
Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, son of former President Joseph Estrada won Best Actor while Sen. Bong Revilla’s film, Resiklo, won Best Picture. The body who served as festivities management and jury of the awards is the MMDA with chair Bayani Fernando as big boss. Fernando recently declared he is running for President of the Philippines in 2010.

Best Director - Cesar Apolinario (Banal)
Gatpuno Antonio J. Villegas Cultural Award - Bahay Kubo and Katas ng Saudi (tie)
Most Gender Sensitivity Film - Desperadas
Best Screenplay - Joey Reyes (Katas ng Saudi)
Best Story - May Cruz and Cesar Apolinario (Banal)
Best Editing - Jay Halili (Resiklo)
Best Cinematography - Jay Linao (Resiklo)
Best Production Design - Rodel Cruz (Resiklo)
