Marky Cielo
Marky Cielo is dead at 20. The young actor died from a reported “bangungot.” The official cause of his death is still unknown though. Initial reports say that Marky Cielo died in his sleep. Sketchy details said that when his mother went up to his room in their house in Antipolo City at around 6 a.m. to wake him up for a charity function, Marky Cielo never woke up.
Marky Cielo rose to fame through the GMA 7 reality star search show, Starstruck. Marky Cielo won the Ultimate Male Survivor title, and the first Sole Survivor title of Starstruck Batch 3. He was the first Igorot ever to join and win Starstruck. Among Marky’s prizes was a house and lot in Antipolo.
Marky Cielo, unlike his network contemporaries, was a quiet and unassuming young man and involved himself in worthwhile causes among them a commercial for the No Smoking Campaign with the Department of Health secretary Francisco Duque III. His last television show is in La Lola.

hmmmm…when my sister mentioned it during our talk on the phone at around 3pM, i never believed it that’s why i started searching on the NET but no clippings or articles about his death yet so i convinced myself that my sister was just playing a prank on me…But at this time, i’m now convinced that marky, a great and lovable man, passed away…I kept on thinking of how cruelly Mr. Death attacks…it’s just so sad that one moment this person is full of energy and laughing the world out then the next time you see the person he’s lying in a coffin without even a single breath left to him…Marky Cielo is a fine nice man…Not the super heartthrob but a true hearththrob not only to females but also to youngsters may it be a male or a female…Condolence to the family of the late actor…may you have strength to face this trial…God has already taken him but he’ll sure remain in the hearts of thousands of people…guiding each and every one of us to the path that he took…

I came across an article talking about Lovi Poe being his co-star (loveteam?) in a GMA program. Since the cause of the death is never publicized, this crossed my mind: could a Lovi Poe admirer who is a son of a powerful gov’t official be so jealous and have something to do with his death? Later, when I read a Philstar article, it was written that he confided to a co-actor that he has been receiving death threats before his death? If my inkling is correct, I hope they’ll give justice to his death.

Marky Cielo is one of the pride of Baguio City and Benguet, he is a big loss to the entertainment industry especially for the Kapuso Network were he was a mainstay for several programs and shows. He was a young vibrant and energetic artist and a talented actor. He was a humble person and truly a good friend. We would miss him on how he entertained us with Zaido, Lalola and SOP. The energetic way he danced and the versatility of his acting talents will always be remembered. Thank you Marky for keeping us entertained through out the years, we salute you for being one of the greatest actors and like Rico Yan, you made a great success in just a few span of years.

there are rumors that marky did not die from “bangungot” but there are speculations that he was “murdered” by someone he trusted…the night before he passed away neighbors heard him arguing with somebody in their house.
someone also said that somebody drained his bank accounts….well its only rumors, but that is waht is circulating among reporters…
its not bangungot. there are rumours that he suicide. nagbiti kamo. un daw. because of so much frustration. nakiusap daw ung family ni marky na not to tell the mass na nagbiti xa. nakuha ko ung news na to from the hospital where marky brought.

MARKY CIELO died because he commited suicide and totally died. It was beacause of his problem with JOLO REVILLA. MARKY and LOVI POEH had mutual feelings to each others that why JOLO gets jealous of him JOLO told marky that if he would not spare from his LOVI he would kill MARKY or his FAMILY. MARKy did accepted deathreaths from JOLO so MARKY was tottaly affected beacuse of that. He choose to die.(FORWARDED FROM MOUNTAIN PROVINCE FRIENDS AND RELATIVES) kinapy ko lng po 2 sa Cellphone…
