Marian Rivera denies being pregnant and slammed Karylle for the pregnancy talk. Or the non-answer by Karylle about the question of whether she thinks Marian Rivera is pregnant. Marian Rivera tearfully slammed Karylle saying that Karylle is using her to bolster Karylle’s popularity at her reputation’s expense. At the presscon of Desperadas 2 today, Marian Rivera at first playfully replied when asked if she is pregnant. “Puwede bang smile na lang din ang isagot ko?” she said.
Then Marian Rivera flatly denied the buzz that is causing a commotion in the four corners of Philippine Showbiz, “Hindi po ako buntis.”
“Na-hurt ako sa kanya dahil kung ako ang tatanungin ng ganoong katanungan, ang isasagot ko, ‘Wala po akong alam diyan’ o ‘Wala po ako sa posisyon na sumagot diyan.’ Nagkaroon ng malisya ang pag smile-smile niya. Inaamin ko, na-hurt ako.”
“Na-offend talaga ako,” sabi niya. “Hindi naman ako tanga at lalong hindi na ako bata para magkamali ng ganoon na magpabuntis. Marami pa akong gustong mangyari sa career ko at kung mangyayari man yun, ako na ang magsasabi sa inyo. Isa pa, kung mag-boyfriend kami ni Dingdong, ako ang unang aamin dahil lahat naman ng naging boyfriend ko, naging proud ako.”
“Makakasagot naman siya (Karylle) dahil may alam naman siya. Sana hindi niya na lang idinaan sa pa-smile-smile.”
Then the press went over the top when a veteran reporter commented that maybe Karylle thinks that way because she has basis that Marian and Dingdong are already doing the deed. The presscon suddenly was cut short. The veteran reporter allegedly has an axe to grind against Marian when a friend of the reporter, a UP Professor, was snubbed by Marian when the professor tried to seek her autograph.

I absolutely agree! why would she blame karylle for not speaking? it’s karylle’s prerogative if she would speak or not. i admire karylle for not making “patol” to marian who is obviously so guilty about the issue. from a girl’s point of view, i know it hurts that people tell things about marian especially the preggy issue but she should have taken it calmly and not cry coz that would only mean she’s hiding something. kudos to karylle for sticking her head up high amidst the speculations! clearly shows who has breeding. i hope marian finds it in her heart to move on just like karylle. besides, it’s Christmas and we all should be happy!! hehe..
this lady is really hurting and i guess, karylle did a very bad move. yes… marian was right in saying that she could have said, i’ve no knowledge of that and she is not in a position to comment as this is a very personal thing. karylle is obviously not gotten over her relationship with dingdong and of what she did showed she despises marian and hates her to the core. karylle and dingdong were not married and if the love went sour then we should just be honest and move on. this is a regular boyfriend-girlfriend thing…you cannot just commit to someone you are no longer happy to be with and if karylle is still fuming mad then she needs to confront the man once and for all. and if later dong and marian are into relationship then it is nobody’s business as they are both available and single. I believe some of you… had a boyfriend that was still into a relationship, just can’t figure out how to let go and to have that person for yourself…to everyone this is just a comment so PEACE!

the question was unethical to begin with, made worse by the double meaning smile from the interviewee. marian should always remember too, any word from one celebrity tend to have double meaning, much like in ordinary life of an ordinary pinoy.

misinterpreted yung smile ni karylle, i think she was not really in the position to answer such intriguing question and she was taken aback probably and then the host replied as if the smile was a confirming answer. she was used obviously, she was put in a hot spot and maybe she thought that the smile was an intelligent answer. but she forgot that a smile could speak of so many words. the question obviously was a boost (a bad one i should say) to the scheming program, the ateneo-educated host turned out to be less educated with that point-blank straight-hitting-bullseyed-arrow question. this is the harsh reality in pinoy showbiz, completely ignoring ethics much like what we read in the newspaper by those so-called writers and columnists.

it created a a lot of buzz for the girl who joined their network. because if the interview didn’t happen, lets face it, the welcoming of the new girl to their network will come unnoticed by the public. the girl- karylle even if she looks quite nice and has a decent talent is just a mediocre to begin with.

C’mon now let’s not try to ignore all the signs here. It was Karylle’s great intention to stir things up for Marian because she went unnotice after a few intrigas about the break up with DDD. We all can see that she was being spiteful against Marian; that wicked smile that she had put out. And lastly; what i don’t understand is “why was the question ask directly to Karylle about Marian’s pregnancy?”. Why did Boy not ask Marian; who will willfully give him the honest to goodness truth about the rumors! Is this their way to instigate things????

it’s not karylle’s fault that her smile can make a low life like marian react the way she did. having a good head on her shoulders & a pretty face at the same time is definitely 1million points ahead than a crying pretty face. it doesn’t matter if it was scripted or not. two can play the game. if indeed it was scripted & marian replied with composure i would have applauded but her reaction only goes to show how dimwitted she really is. there is such a thing as “the art of war” and only those who are intellectually gifted can make it work to their advantage. apparently, marian lacks the ability to think like Sun Tzu and that is why she ends up looking really stupid.
Karylle is smart…she is not a user,infact kug ako ang tatanungin ng ganun tatawa lang din ako gusto mo halakhak pa kasi minsan ang pag ngiti marami ibig sabihin malalaman mo lang ang totoo pag may kasunod na pahayag…mga matatalinong tao na di kayang intindihin ng mga bobang katulad mo MARIAN RIVERA…
I watched the entire story from the buzz and if we will observe karylle was muched poised and explained her side, it made her bloom more of an sophisticated and intelligent woman, but sad to say the way marian handled it was so poorly done.. i pity her, crying which are infact like tears made for a movie, a move which she thinks will swoon the empathy of the viewers to her, i am not taking sides but from a person who watches as the drama unfolds from afar, i think karylle never used marian as the latter stated in the press conference that she doesnt need to do it just to gain popularity, jeessshhh… what a way to answer a question, poorly done.. like spontaneous combustion coming out from the mouth not thinking whats coming out and then realizing she made a mistake Mariane was all smiles saying praises to the press.. jeesshhh. .. bottomline is it made MARIAN look pitiful .. tsk tsk tsk.. those tears can´t fool me… better improve your acting.. I dont buy it… it made you how shall i say it politely… ummmm … a .10c candy?
