Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao is on the cover of TIME Magazine’s Asia edition. The Manny Pacquiao TIME magazine cover will be out on newsstands this weekend. TIME Magazine has done a five-page spread cover story on Manny Pacquiao. The Pacquiao story will also be carried on TIME’s global and other countries’ editions. This is another feather on Pacquiao’s cap, just days after his appearance on the popular US late night show, Jimmy Kimmel Live. With all these, much is expected from the boxing great in his WBO title bout with Juan Miguel Cotto on Nov. 14.
In the TIME magazine cover story, Pacquiao said he absolutely had no idea that when he started his career in boxing, which primarily was made only to provide a better life for himself and his family, that he would now be on the cover of TIME Magazine. He went on to say that it is a great honor for him to be the face of his people and to let everyone know that eventhough the Philippines is a small country it is a mighty country. Manny Pacquiao has defeated several boxing greats, including “Golden Boy” Oscar de la Hoya. He may also get to face American Floyd Mayweather if he wins against Cotto.
