Kiefer Sutherland in Philippine documentary film
The documentary film chronicles two years in the life of Mila, a 20-year-old bar girl in Angeles City, Philippines who lives in the hope that someday a client from abroad will rescue her and take her to the United States. It basically tackles the Philippine flesh tourism industry.
The docu’s story is told through the eyes of two female students and a male university professor from Nova Scotia, Canada. Kiefer Sutherland lends his A-list status to the film for free.
It originally aired last year in CBC or Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. It won Best Documentary at the Big Bear Lake International Film Festival in California, United States and was featured at the Atlantic Film Festival in 2005.
