She’s none other than the original American Idol herself, Kelly Clarkson. God, what did seven years done to her. Kelly Clarkson is fat and unattractive now. And clearly, this is no case of a bad outfit. No excuses here, Kelly Clarkson is fat! Her looking good when she was American Idol seven seasons ago and her subsequent albums since had just been put to waste! Anyway, Kelly is compensating for the state of her body by working hard on her new album, “All I Ever Wanted”, her fourth, due out on March 10, 2009. I hope that All That Kelly Clarkson Ever Wanted are not just fries and burgers. LOL..

BTW, the blind viewers (!) of VH1, voted in 2008 Kelly Clarkson no. 8 in the 10 sexiest women of the new millennium. Ugh! Kelly Clarkson’s latest single, “My Life Would Suck Without You”, recently broke the record for the largest leap to the No. 1 position in the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart history. And only her second No. 1 Single after the American Idol winning song, “A Moment Like This.” I hope she “Breakaway” from obesity. Seriously, I love her, SYBG and BOY are two of my fave songs of her, of all time, I just hope she shapes up a bit, a lot of kids are looking up to her, being obese is not healthy.

Sure she’s gained some weight but she’s not obese!not only is america obsessed with weight but philippines as well!it sickens me when the first thing filipinos comment on is your weight. Kelly Clarkson is one of the best role models for kids BECAUSE she is large. she is not afraid to show people who she wants to be, and she doesn’t starve herself like a certain bulemic sounding person i could mention.

People commenting about your size is one of the reasons why i hate the country where i came from (..I’m from the Philippines). Everyone’s just so concerned about their weight and how they look… I guess it’s media’s fault. I never watch local channels(except for the news) because every person that i see has this oh-so petite perfect figure (well, d’oh they’re asians, but whatever, not all asians are petite looking). Everything seems so superficial now a days…
if you were to pick which of the two, what would you pick?
a) a person who’s thin and hot but she’s mean and dumb; or
b) a person who has curves(like kelly) and a little full figured, but she’s nice and intelligent
Who the heck cares if you’re full figured or THICK what’s more important is how you are inside and how your attitudes with people are
and I think this is a very good example of what’s happening with the media now especially on the PHILIPPINE MEDIA, because they need to criticize their own bodies and how their brain work first.

i just want to ask.. Do you hate the US too? because clearly, this obsession with being thin didn't spring out of nowhere here in the Philippines. We've definitely picked it up somewhere. And looking where Boy got this bit of news, it's from weight obsesses American.

and to clarify some things, i do not agree with the article that Kelly is now hideous because of her figure. She is far from being obese. Actually, the standard nowadays that the media (both local and foreign) has for women is underweight. What most of us tend to consider as fat for women is actually the right weight and figure for women.

I work with Filipinos and you're completely right… they are completely obsessed with weight!!! It hurts my feelings, and it's annoying.

This is just malicious and hyper critical. She is clearly a healthy weight, even by European Standards (which, by the way ,are not much better than American standards)and doesn't even look large in the photos. Maybe she has gained a few pounds, and no longer looks anerexic like most stars– but I think that kids need to have a normal weight rolemodel, because clearly these unrealistic ideals on beauty need to be fixed.
Get me some numbers that demonstrate she's "obese"– until then stop putting up photoshopped pictures and writing cruel bull shit.
