You can really tell by the way Karylle talks that she’s very intelligently educated; that’s why her behavior, words, AND smiles are very well polished and have the finish. Kyphosis (Greek – kyphos, a hump) also called “hunch back” or “hunchbackism” or “hunchbackedness”, in general terms, is a common condition of a curvature of the upper (thoracic) spine. It can be either the result of bad posture (slouching) or a structural, muscular abnormality in the spine.
In the sense of a deformity, it is the pathological curving of the spine, where parts of the spinal column lose some or all of their lordotic profile. This causes a bowing of the back, seen as a slouching back and breathing difficulties. Severe cases can cause great discomfort and even lead to death.

There are several kinds of kyphosis (ICD-10 codes are provided):
* Postural kyphosis (M40.0), the most common type, normally attributed to slouching can occur in both the old[1] and the young. In the young, it can be called ’slouching’ and is reversible by correcting muscular imbalances. In the old, it may be called ‘hyperkyphosis’ or ‘dowager’s hump’. About one third of the most severe hyperkyphosis cases have vertebral fractures.[2] Otherwise, the aging body tends towards a loss of musculoskeletal integrity[3], and kyphosis can develop due to aging alone.[4][2]
* Scheuermann’s kyphosis (M42.0) is significantly worse cosmetically and can cause pain. It is considered a form of juvenile osteochondrosis of the spine, and is more commonly called Scheuermann’s disease. It is found mostly in teenagers and presents a significantly worse deformity than postural kyphosis. A patient suffering from Scheuermann’s kyphosis cannot consciously correct posture[5]. The apex of the curve, located in the thoracic vertebrae, is quite rigid. The patient may feel pain at this apex, which can be aggravated by physical activity and by long periods of standing or sitting. This can have a significantly detrimental effect on their lives, as their level of activity is curbed by their condition; they may feel isolated or uneasy amongst peers if they are children, depending on the level of deformity. Whereas in postural kyphosis the vertebrae and disks appear normal, in Scheuermann’s kyphosis they are irregular, often herniated and wedge shaped over at least three adjacent levels. Fatigue is a very common symptom, most likely because of the intense muscle work that has to be put into standing and/or sitting properly. The condition seems to run in families.
* Congenital kyphosis (Q76.4) can result in infants whose spinal column has not developed correctly in the womb. Vertebrae may be malformed or fused together and can cause further progressive kyphosis as the child develops.[6]. Surgical treatment may be necessary at a very early stage and can help maintain a normal curve in coordination with consistent follow ups to monitor changes. However, the decision to carry out the procedure can be very difficult due to the potential risks to the child. A congenital kyphosis can also suddenly appear in teenage years, more commonly in children with cerebral palsy and other neurological disorders.
* Nutritional Kyphosis can result from nutritional deficiencies, especially during childhood, such as vitamin D deficiency (producing rickets) which softens bones and results in curving of the spine and limbs under the child’s body weight

Body braces showed benefit in a randomized controlled trial.[7]
The Milwaukee brace is one particular body brace that is often used to treat kyphosis.

Surgical treatment can be used in severe cases. In patients with progressive kyphotic deformity due to vertebral collapse, a procedure called a kyphoplasty may arrest the deformity and relieve the pain. The procedure is serious and consists of fusion of the abnormal vertebrae[8].

karylle is in showbiz because she has a right to be. she’s very beautiful and talented; and please, i don’t want to hear another comment about the pacquiao fight because as far as i know, all singers that represented him made mistakes.
although, i’d have to agree, zsa is far prettier than her daughters, prettier than the one studying in OZ and her daughter with dolphy. have to say though, karylle is pretty in her own right. she’s very wholesome and classically beautiful. she’s not like some artists who are pretty enough but have very common features.
she’s a delight to sketch and paint actually. beautiful bone structure, clean lines… that’s why she was chosen to pose as maria makiling… that’s her looks, very ethereal…

Well, i don’t know Im not a fun of the either sides but somehow i think there’s nothing wrong in smiling. Well based on studies people have the reflex to smile whenever they are in a unexpected situation. Besides both of them have flaws and air, lets tackle marians’ first. well I’m not a fan of either karylle or Marian but there’s one thing that I noticed about marian whenever she’s being interviewed on T.V. For every accomplishment, she only says one thing all the time…have you noticed her favorite dialogue, ” sobrang nakakataba ng puso..di po namin eniexpect ito….lalo ko pong pagbubutuhin para mapasaya kayo”… nothing wrong I may say but can’t she think of other response aside from that? ” parang sirang plaka di ba” I ‘m getting convinced about what others are saying about her…it seems na parang kulang sya sa communication skills ( I mean in english ha ) and her manners and expressions on TV..parang….walang class nga yata. Sorry to offend some of you ha…. pero honest opinion lang po. I heard her one time when asked to comment on Dingdong’s new billboard on bench. This is exactly what she said… “proud ako sa lahat ng ginagawa nya…..deserving nya naman lahat ng success nya…..” May mali di ba? she should have said “DESERVE NYA LAHAT NG SUCCESS OR DESEREVING SYA SA LAHAT NG SUCCESS” yUN LANG PO.

Im no fan of anybody but I could say that K is a smart lady. She has all the rights to stand out and whatever it is that she has now, she all deserves them. Well-educated person and that makes me admire her. I graduated in UP and we don't usually appreciate anybody's ethics aside from the same people with the same school but she made me appreciate her for that case. Smile. I don't want to say negative comments against marian. try to compare not just the beauty outside, try to look deep within. It's up to guys to make that decision..you'll see the BIG difference..:)
