Jake Cuenca Briefs Controversial Billboard

This Jake Cuenca Bench Body Lost In Summer billboard in the Magallanes interchange is causing alot of stir (no pun intended) and complaints from concerned motorists. Hot hunk Jake Cuenca is in a provocative pose wearing only a pair of scanty briefs. The Bench Body briefs concept is to promote it as the “new second skin.” Atty. Romulo Macalintal, noted elections lawyer, and President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s private lawyer, complained that “the billboard is an intentional and blatant disrespect for family values.” Atty. Macalintal further said that the campaign is a total disregard of his children’s right to be free from an excessive public display of vulgar, lewd and unwholesome product endorsements. The Advertising Standards Council (ASC) meanwhile said every advertisement, before it is put up in billboards, goes through a screening process by their review committee and is then issued a clearance. It follows that there is no violation by Bench’s billboard, since it is up there.

Jake Cuenca is a long-time Bench model and one of the top ABS-CBN talent. Jake Cuenca is leading man to Angelica Panganiban in the new primetime ABS-CBN show, “Rubi” premiering on Feb. 15. Jake Cuenca will also star with Angel Locsin in the special MMK Valentines episode on Feb. 13.
