Iya Villania is back on GMA Network! Iya Villania first started on GMA-7’s hit teen-oriented show “Click” before transferring to ABS-CBN. Several of Iya’s fans were dismayed with this latest development that they unfollowed her on Twitter and Instagram, and vowed to not watch her again. Iya Villania‘s husband Drew Arellano is a GMA Network mainstay with shows in GMA and GMA News TV. Iya Villania denies that the reason why she switched networks is because of her husband Drew Arellano. “I wouldn’t say he’s a huge part as to why I’ve decided to come back. But of course, he knew all about this. When we were negotiating and when I was coming to terms with coming back here, siya talaga yung kausap ko. For him being the reason why I transferred, no,” Iya said.
In her Instagram account, Iya Villania said: “So… It’s official… Hello mga #Kapuso” and in another, posing with GMA Network big bosses, she said: “The presence of the bosses is definitely what made it real for me awhile ago! Made me feel special! Hahaa! With the Chairman and CEO of gma network – Atty Felipe Gozon, Senior Vice President of GMA Network – Lilybeth Rasonable, Vice President of GMA Entertainment – Marivin Arayata, Vice President for Drama and Entertainment TV – Redgie Magno and Senior Asst. Vice Pres. of GMA Entertainment TV – Gigi Santiago. Thank you for the welcome. It’s nice to be back.”
Iya Villania is a fixture in ABS-CBN’s hit Sunday variety show ASAP but this coming Sunday, Iya Villania will perform in GMA’s “Sunday All Stars” wherein she is slated to appear regularly. Iya Villania’s career move may prove to be good for her as one of the projects lined up for her is in acting, a meaty role in a drama series.

Iya Villania and Drew Arellano wedding is to be held next month, January 2014, according to Ricky Lo.
Ricky Lo referred to the wedding as only a formality because Iya and Drew have been together for more than nine years years now. The celebrity couple celebrated their ninth year anniversary May 9.
The wedding could have been held this year but Drew Arellano’s father, Atty. Aga Arellano, passed away due to colon cancer in June.
Earlier this year, it has been reported that Drew Arellano proposed to Iya in April 2012 while they were on vacation in Paris, France and the proposal was caught on video, but Iya denied it, only saying at that time that they are not yet engaged but they are definitely preparing for the future.
