It’s Showtime courts controversy with a fliptop scandal that many are now wondering if the noontime tv show will be suspended by the MTRCB. It all happened in the live telecast of It’s Showtime yesterday during its 3rd anniversary special when a guy pulled from the audience during a fliptop duel uttered this (to a boy at that!):
“Fliptop ka ng fliptop, wala ka namang laptop, subo mo t*** ko gawin mong lollipop.”
Roughly translated into English as: You do Fliptop all the time but you don’t have a laptop, suck my d@#$ instead like a lollipop. Before this, one of the hosts, Coleen Garcia warned the fliptop participants not to use foul words though. She was then seen on TV appalled at what happened while covering her mouth in shock. Vice Ganda is seen stunned and shocked as well. The hosts and staff of the show then pulled aside the guy who uttered such and the hosts apologize for what just transpired. It’s Showtime when it was under an earlier timeslot and under the name “Showtime” was also suspended by the MTRCB when guest judge Rossana Roces uttered foul words too. Showtime actually never left the airwaves though, it was just cleverly renamed “Magpasikat.” This comes on the heels of a recent report that It’s Showtime surpassed Eat Bulaga! in the ratings.
[...] Rossana Roces was punched in the face by son Onyok and on Good Friday at that. Osang then took to her Facebook account in a series of posts and ranted out on her son, saying she was hit by her son Onyok in the face when she cursed his girlfriend. She said she also retaliated. Osang then named the father of Onyok to fetch his son before she does more harm to him. She then described herself as an icon in showbiz. She was also thankful that her son finally left their house.
