Hunk Of The Week: Yul Servo
Yul Servo is our hunk of the week. Yul Servo is a staple in indie films and his latest is “Dose” which means Twelve in Filipino. The film touches the all too familiar theme of a young boy who is twelve years old and his unusual relationship with his gardener, played by Yul Servo. Shades of “Ang Pagdadalaga Ni Maximo Oliveros” or Eva Longoria as Gabrielle Solis falling for Jesse Metcalfe in “Desperate Housewives.” Yul Servo once figured in a controversial friendship with Piolo Pascual. In the 2005 Famas Awards, the first person that Best Actor winner (Milan) Piolo Pascual thanked was his “bro” Yul Servo. And this photo of Yul Servo and Piolo Pascual also became an internet sensation which only later found to be “photoshopped.” Dose is a Cinema One Originals Digital Film Festival entry. The Cinema One Originals Digital Film Festival will kick off on July 1, 2009 in Robinson’s Galleria IndieSine.
