Update: GMA has reconsidered in making a not so star-studded GMA Christmas Station ID for 2009. Aside from the “Sama Sama Tayong Magpasa-Love” music video which was originally what was intended to be the only one aired, GMA 7 has made “skits” with a pasa-love theme. It features GMA’s major stars from their shows. One of which features Rhian Ramos and Dingdong Dantes and a Caucasian guy.

With the launch of the ABS-CBN Christmas 2009 Station ID, will GMA 7 permit it to be left behind? Of course not. The GMA 7 Christmas 2009 Station ID will be launched today on Eat Bulaga!. The GMA 7 Christmas Station ID 2009 is entitled â€Å“Sama-sama Tayong Magpasalove” in reference to the GMA Network tagline of being the Kapuso Network. The GMA Christmas theme song is sang by La Diva member Aicelle Santos. The concept of the Station ID is “pasalove” or sharing love. The director of the GMA Christmas 2009 Station ID shares what inspired him to do the Christmas ID. â€Å“Our village was affected by the flooding (Typhoon Ondoy). I saw how neighbors and complete strangers risked their lives to help others. I experienced pasalove firsthand that’s why the message of the Station ID is very real to me,” said Paul Ticzon, who is also GMA’s Assistant Vice President for Post Production Operations Division.
