GMA-7 Is Still The No.1 Network

AGB-Nielsen overnight ratings show all of the “Telebabad” programs of GMA thrashing the counterpart “Primetime Bida” of ABS-CBN.

GMA-7’s “Hana Yori Dango,” (17.5% - May 8, 18.4% - May 9) a Japanese version of the cult manga that spawned the F4 story, trounced ABS-CBN’s “Sinserye” (11.8%, 12.6%)

The GMA news program “24 Oras” (27%, 25.4%) bested ABS-CBN’s “TV Patrol World” (22.8%, 23.6%).

While the GMA fantasy series “Super Twins” (29.9%, 28.7%), a local version of another cult anime “Sailor Moon,” thumped the ABS-CBN dramas “Walang Kapalit” (27.7%, 25.1%) and “Maging Sino Ka Man” (26%, 24.6%).

GMA-7’s epic koreanovela “Jumong” (29.7%, 28%), meanwhile, outclassed the much-hyped ABS-CBN reality television series “Pinoy Big Brother” (18.4%, 20.1%).

Overnight ratings only bear audience viewer figures for the specific dates mentioned. AGB-Nielsen Media Research uses its television audience measurement panels in selected households in Metro Manila and other urban areas in the country to produce its much sought after ratings figures.

Hello everyone.

I AUDIT these big tv networks mentioned here. I certainly agree that ABS is number one. even in our discussion, management (I mean the VERY VERY VERY VERY BIG GUYS)of GMA accepts that. I would not drop names. GMA ratings as showed by the network are deceiving. IT covers only certain areas. I have access to the ratings and I can say it really is ABS that is number one in the country. GMA covers only certain spots.

kung mag away lang naman kau about jan, wag na…ung gma and abs cbn mwmbers and crew, puro mayayaman na….hindi cla naaapektuhan bwt sa gusot na 2 kung cnung best of the best…kaya please…if u prefer abs, then watch abs…kung prefer nu gma, then manuod kau nun…awayng away…..di naman kau sinasahuran nyan jan…magtrabaho tau ngaun para magkapera…bwisit…!!!

nutmeg pixie, san ka nag-aral? sensya na ha, kasi mukhang lasaw ang utak mo judging by the way you post comments. mukhang ignorante ka pa kasi meron ka lang cable TV feeling mo naka-jackpot ka na - my God, dito nga sa amin satellite dish ang gamit pero cool lang kami about it. About your comments, remember, the thread is about GMA-7 being claimed as the no.1 network, so naturally, people would be comparing stations. which means, (kasi nga lasaw utok mo at most probably hindi mo na-gets), people posting comments would COMPARE these local TV stations. What’s with the comment about “ANG SAYA SAYA! NAG-AAWAY ANG MGA TAO OVER GMA AND ABS AND NGAYON ABC-5! Kaya di umaasenso ang Pinas dahil sa mentality nyo! Let’s just support all the stations. Wag nang magsiraan please”? mukhang malasadong itlog na comment. Personally, I will not support a filipino product solely because its pinoy-made - it has to have quality. comparing TV stations has nothing adverse to do with the economic development of our country. actually, it may even be positive kasi we want better quality, urging this TV stations to provide better entertainment and content - leading to more educated TV viewers - and hopefully to a more literate country. saang university ka ba galing?
