I was touched watching ASAP ‘08 this Sunday. Today’s edition was simply amazing. It paid tribute to the all-time Queen of Philippine Movies, Ms. Gloria Romero, who is celebrating her 75th Birthday! And she is still snappy at 75. Not to mention that she is still active in showbiz and a good one at that. Ms. Romero mentioned in the ASAP ‘08 tribute that she has worked 21 years of that for ABS-CBN, and counting. Retirement is far from Gloria’s mind. And after all the pretenders to the throne, Ms. Gloria Romero is still every inch a queen. “It’s so funny, because at my age, imagine, I still have a billboard on EDSA,†chuckled the veteran actress.
In celebration of the 75th Birthday of Ms. Gloria Romero, Star Cinema has released a retrospective of all the films she has made, available in VCD and DVD format in all leading music stores in the Philippines and online.

I know Today is Ms. Glo’s birthday Dec. 16!so wish her good health! i saw ASAP’s tribute to the all-time queen of RP movies last sunday!and i like it too much! every time the phrase goes: “the one-and-only movie queen Ms. Gloria Romero” it seems a music in my ear! once again.

Gloria romero alam nung nameet kita sobrang na touch ako kc sobrang baet at approachable mo. kahit ur 75 ang ganda ng lola mo..d ko maka2limutan na movie mo is tanging yaman…kahit na ilang times ive watched that movie super naka2iyak…sna mkagawa ka pa ng maraming project sa abs-cbn and gud health…

I can't blame you if Gloria is your idol. Isaw her twice in Manila during the opening of her movie and she's really pretty at mabait pa. I spoke to her in our dialect (pangalatot) and she gracefully talked to me in return. One time, During my lunch break, I happened to see her and Daisy Romualdez browsing some shoes and I heard her say she was looking for a pair of shoes for her daughter who was at that time 3 or 4 yrs. old. She is very natural, hindi plastic. She has my respect and how I wish to see her again in the future. At 75, she looks great!
