The Philippines Danica Magpantay won the grand title of Ford Supermodel of the World 2011. The Ford Supermodel of the World 2011 pageant was held in New York City, on January 22, 2011. Danica Magpantay is just 17 years old and is a Fine Arts student at the University of the Philippines Diliman and is the daughter of the 1990 Super Model of the World Philippines winner Lala Flores of Adamson University. Lala Flores also made waves in the international pageant of Super Model of the World representing the Philippines by bagging the Crest Best Smile Award.

Danica Magpantay, for winning the grand title of Super Model of the World 2011, gets a US$250,000 modeling contract with Ford Models of Eileen Ford. Danica Magpantay won Ford Models Supermodel of the World Philippines 2010 and the right to represent the Philippines back in October 2010 and was just a newbie in modeling when she joined and won. But thanks to an able mom in the person of Supermodel Lala Flores, she pulled it off not just in the Philippines but the whole world! hurrah! Danica Magpantay’s runners-up were Miss Lithuania (1st Runner-up) and Miss Poland (2nd Runner-up) with Miss Brazil and Miss Estonia rounding up the Top 5 Finalists. Last year, The Philippines bet, Charlene Almarvez, was also first runner up in the Ford Supermodel of the World 2010 pageant. Danica Magpantay looks like music superstar Rihanna (albeit more beautiful?) in some angle.
