Philippine Pride Charice Pempengco or now simply known as Charice, sang “One Moment in Time†and “God Bless America†on January 18th at the Pre-Inaugural Ball of President-Elect Barack Obama. With her awe inspiring belting, Charice received a standing ovation for her performance. Charice performed alongside some of America’s finest musician like Bruce Springsteen and Stevie Wonder. In the presence of President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.
Watch Charice’s video clip of her astonishing accomplishment of singing at the celebrations for the swearing in of a new American President, President Barack Obama. Quite a feat for a young lady from the Philippines. It clearly shows that if you have TALENT, you are going to places you will never even have imagined. Mabuhay ka Charice!

(I LIVE IN CALIFORNIA, THE WEST COAST, AND CHARICE PERFORMANCE IN THE EAST COAST, WASHINGTON IS 3 HOURS AHEAD). I GOT GOOSE GUMPS WATCHING HER SING “GOD BLESS AMERICA”. YOU SEE SOME PEOPLE WITH TEARS IN THEIR EYES. CHARICE GOT A STANDING OVATION, AS USUAL. CHARICE HAS BEEN PART OF HISTORY. THE PRESIDENTIAL INAUGURATION IS A SUCCESS. Charice Pempengco was invited to perform at the Realizing the Dream Fourth Annual King Day Commemoration & 2nd Annual Realizing the Dream Award Celebration. The event date was Jan. 18, at Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill and was hosted by Martin Luther King III.
It was not a pre-inaugural celebration of President Barak Obama, it was not even televised, and it was a private reception. And President B. Obama was unable to attend the reception.

i read about the issue “Charice sang in the pre-inuguration ball of US pres. Barack Obama” and found a lot of comments stating that Charice didnt truly attended the said inauguration ball instead just an awarding somewhere in US where she was requested or invited to sing the said songs. HOw true is this issue? and i hope that this kind of issue will soon be resolved as it affects the whole philippine nation not only charice or anyonelses concern of this girl name..IN my own point of view if the whole footage of the event showing charice and the said personalities who were present including the USpres and the 1st lady themselves will be shown….then any negative news will be perished………..please help us down load any of the said video if there is really one that will answer the big….?
Well she does have the talent but i dont think she has the right to perform sa inauguration, I mean she’s not feakin American for cryin out loud so whats with the press release…….

Charice did perform in one of the many pre-inauguration balls for President Obama. Hindi naman sinabi ni Charice na pre-inauguration ball ni President Obama ang affair kung saan sya kakanta. Sa dami ng nagmamahal at nagdiriwang sa pagkapanalo ni Obama as president, maraming grupo at organization ang nag-organize ng pre-inauguration balls for Obama. Sa dami ng mga pre-inauguration balls, imposibleng mapuntahan lahat iyon ni Obama.
At please, let’s be proud of Charice for her accomplishments not only as a singer but as a Pinoy.
