Charice Wows Italy

In observation of the Holy Week, here is another inspiring story from Filipina international singing sensation Charice. Charice this time, wowed the Italian national television audience by having Italy’s popular television show, “Ti Lascio Una Canzone” (I’m Leaving a Song for You) do a special presentation about her rise to international singing stardom. The Festival Della Canzone Italiana is Italy’s popular singing competition and has been running since 1951. It is held annually in the City of Sanremo. Ti Lascio Una Canzone is the inspiration behind the widely popular in Europe singing competition, Eurovision Song Contest. Tradition dictates that one version of the song is to be performed by an Italian singer while the other version was to be performed by an international musical guest, which in this case was Charice.
