Piolo Pascual and Dingdong Dantes team up

August 25, 2008 · Filed Under Dingdong Dantes, Piolo Pascual · Comment
Dingdong Dantes and Piolo Pascual (ang billing!) have teamed up for the latest ad campaign of Ponds. Dingdong and Piolo are two of the hottest matinee idols in the Philippines. Reportedly, the idea of the ad campaign is to feature two of the hottest and two of the prime talents of the two leading television networks in the Philippines. Dingdong Dantes has been interviewed by PEP and said,

“Well, it is on the producer’s perception. Yun ang tingin ng mga kliyente dahil siguro, nakikita nilang swak kami doon sa hinahanap nilang image ng produkto. Siyempre, ayaw ko rin namang sabihin on top or hottest, siguro it’s just good to say that we just fit doon sa hinahanap nilang qualities.”

When Dingdong Dantes was interviewed, he did not know that the ad has already been aired on TV.

“Actually, akala ko nga next month pa. Pero biglang lumabas na nga raw, like sa YES! magazine September 2008 issue. Pero yung TVC yata, hindi pa. I think isa yun sa dapat na abangan nila kasi, maganda yung concept ng commercial. We have to look for the next Pond’s girl. We’re in search for two women and ide-date namin sila.”

Dingdong also mentioned that this is not the first time that he has worked with Piolo Pascual. He has worked with Piolo 5 years ago in a show in Japan with the Side A Band. They were also in the fashion show 2 years ago, Rampa for A Cause organized by Ruffa Gutierrez and the rest of the Gutierrez family.

“Yung mga ganoong incident, pero ngayon lang talaga kami nagkasama for one project. Maganda nga ngayon kasi nagkakaroon ng fusion ng two different networks, much more that he (Piolo) has already established his name, his career, his personality. So, noong sinabi nila sa akin na I’ll be working with him, para sa akin, isang magandang opportunity siya. So, without hesitation talaga, I was excited about the project.”

Piolo Pascual daw scandal

A reader has just sent me these photos of someone alleged to be Piolo Pascual or someone closely resembling him. In one photo, the guy alleged to be Piolo is seen smelling something, probably an essential oil used for aromatherapy massage. Then the next photo shows the “weird” guy sipping it (?!) and then at the last photo, he is kissing a he(?), she(?) or it(?)..whatever, i don’t see why this is even a scandal. This could be from a movie or a tv show. Anyway, to let the contributor be happy about this, ok sige i-publish. But if anyone has any objection about this, let me know thru the comments section and i will gladly remove it..

The real Piolo Pascual meanwhile has just launched his own Bench perfume and clothing line and he is soon to star and co-produce an indie film called “Manila” where he will play an offbeat role. Piolo Pascual co-stars in Manila are Baron Geisler and Alessandra de Rossi.

Note: Piolo Pascual fans, if it is not Piolo then don’t be too defensive. Title of the post did not say it IS Piolo. It said Piolo DAW. How can i even think of deleting this if some people will be so rude.

Also, modesty aside, this blog is no.3 in traffic hits in all the entertainment blog in the Philippines and no.4 overall Philippine website (TopBlogs Philippines) and in previous occassions has been down because of too much traffic. I did not post this to gain recognition just now!

If you will read the entire article, it even mentioned Piolo’s other projects.

Piolo Pascual Clothing and Piolo Pascual Perfume

This is probably the reason why Piolo Pascual was conspicously absent in the Bench Blackout Underwear and Denim Show, Piolo Pascual is to launch a Piolo Pascual Clothing line and a Piolo Pascual Perfume, as in a Piolo Pascual Parfums, lol. The project is its finishing touches, Piolo Pascual recently did a pictorial for his own clothing line and a perfume named after him. And the pictorial was also sexy eventhough Piolo Pascual was in jeans. He looked buffed and animalistic (Animalistic daw oh!). There was sensuality and raw appeal in the pictorial, can’t wait for the billboards to spruce up the highways of Metro Manila! Yes, spruce up, as in decorate, not just advertise, he’s a sight to behold anyway. It would be fun if Piolo Pascual would strip down to his undies though. Crossing my fingers…

Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby, subject of funny email

June 25, 2008 · Filed Under Anne Curtis, Piolo Pascual, Sam Milby · 1 Comment
I just got this email, ridiculing once again Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby. The email’s subject said, “Dyosabel, Ang Tatalo Sa Dyesebel,” a pun on the upcoming Anne Curtis starrer, “Dyosa.” Anne Curtis is rumored to be the girlfriend of Sam Milby. And of course, the pic that accompanied the email is ultimately a dig on Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby who in the pic are depicted as mermaids ala Dyesebel. Mermaids or “sirena” in local parlance means “super sireyna, lol.” The email originated from a certain call center and although there is a warning of it not to be distributed aside from their circle, it spread like wildfire in the email inboxes of so many Filipinos, mostly yuppies.

Sam Milby and Piolo Pascual photoshopped and parodied pic (only from http://getitfromboy.net)

And in the spirit of a must journalism ala Ces Drilon, it must be shared to my readers as well. A must journalism i declare, means, to always be in the presence of and/or in the midst of the action reporting..in short, kailangan kasali lagi..report lang ng report, kesehoda..so there..kahit ayaw ipa-publish ng mga nagforward, aba ikalat ba naman nila pagkatapos may disclaimer pa, ganun din yun noh!..(Disclaimer: BTW..the photo is Definitely photoshopped)..
