Master rapper Francis Magalona, 43, has been diagnosed with leukemia or cancer of the blood and urgently needs the help of blood donors and that any blood type and platelets will be accepted* (*Subject to medical requirements).

Pupil band manager and Francis Magalona friend Day Cabuhat said that,  “Donations may be made at the lower ground level of The Medical City (located along Ortigas Avenue in Pasig City)  in the name of Francis Magalona.”

Friends and relatives organized a blood donation drive to help the popular singer’s cause. They’re also asking friends from the media to spread the word regarding Francis’s condition to encourage people to turn up and donate blood.

Earlier after being diagnosed with leukemia, Francis M appealed for sobriety: “I don’t want a media circus. I want privacy with my family. What I’d rather talk about is how to we can solicit blood donations to replace the supply that I have consumed in the hospital.”

Francis M is married to Pia Arroyo-Magalona, they have eight children: Unna, Nicolo, Francis Jr., Isabella, Elmo, Arkin, Clara, and actress Maxene Magalona.

Pia Magalona on his husband’s condition said: “It was very gradual, hindi siya biglaang lumabas. We don’t want to use the word ‘curable,’ but the doctors say it’s treatable.”

Francis Magalona is also known FrancisM and Master Rapper, and is considered to be the King of Pinoy Rap and is credited as being the first Filipino rapper in the Philippines to successfully crossover to the mainstream. Francis Magalona has  a personal blog called a Free Mind. Francis M regularly appears in GMA’s noontime fare, Eat Bulaga.

KC Concepcion Imposible Music Video, watch it below. The Imposible Music Video, KC Concepcion explained is not really that, technically, it’s not a video, but more of moving still pictures. The “music video” employed the use of a digital camera with high shutter speed to shoot the scenes and then after putting it together, the Imposible music video was the result. A stop motion animation concept and 6,000+ photos were used.

Photographer Mark Nicdao and KC Concepcion collaborated on the concept which was 3 years in the making. KC Concepcion enthused, “2005 pa namin experiment yon ni mark and we’ve done our first music video together!” Imposible is the first single to KC’s top selling album, a.k.a Cassandra.

Lea Salonga aside from Sharon Cuneta is also celebrating her 30th year in Philippine Showbiz with a concert entitled Lea Salonga… My Life Onstage, it will be held at the PICC Plenary Hall on May 23 and 24. Lea Salonga will have as special guest no less than Aga Muhlach, who will do a duet with her. Lea Salonga and Aga Muhlach did two very successful movies together in “Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal” and “Sana Maulit Muli.”

Suppose to be, Aga Muhlach will be the special guest but will not be mentioned in the promos. Aga Muhlach said, “She asked me to guest. I said yes but we agreed that my name will not be mentioned in the promotions so that I can still back out anytime,” he said smiling and went on to joke, “but I’d love to sing duet with her. So that people will know that I am a good singer, too. Imagine doing a duet withLea Salonga? For sure, her voice will carry mine and people will presume Aga Muhlach can actually sing.”

When Lea Salonga was asked that it has been a long time since she appeared in a full-length movie. Will she mind doing another flick? Lea said, “I don’t mind and if I could squeeze it, why not? But only with Aga (Muhlach),” she remarked with a big smile.

Aga was just smiling and shyly expressed how honored he was with that statement. “Yeah, it will be a project I would love to do. Sana nga magkaroon ng chance to do that. Although I know she is very busy and that her commitments extend to until August of 2009? But really, why not? It’s something that will be good to do,” he said.
