Ruffa Gutierrez celebrated her 34th birthday recently, and she celebrated it in 2 fabulous bashes. The first was on June 21, in Blue Leaf, Taguig, where Ruffa hosted a chic and fabulous party for 200 guests. It was a gift from Dr. Vicki Belo of BeloMed as Ruffa is its newest endorser. The who’s who and the controversial of Philippine Showbiz attended the event, including stars from the warring networks of GMA nad ABS-CBN. Angel Locsin and Richard Gutierrez had an animated banter. Richard Gutierrez arrived with leading lady KC Concepcion. Sunshine Cruz was in attendance, minus husband Cesar Montano, in a revealing outfit. Rufa Mae Quinto almost bumped into the couple Jessa Zaragosa and Dingdong Avanzado. Anne Curtis and Sam Milby were almost glued to each other. Several celebs were also spotted such as Ruffa’s bestfriend Donita Rose, brother and Pinoy Idol host Raymond Gutierrez, Marvin Agustin, Geneva Cruz, Rachelle Alejandro, John Estrada and partner former Ms. Earth Priscilla Mereilles, Richard Gomez and Lucy Torres-Gomez, Agot Isidro with hubby Manu Sandejas, etc..It was a glittery glittery night indeed…

And then yesterday was Ruffa’s actual birthday, and she celebrated it with a so-called Spa day in Philosophy Spa with friends Pops Fernandez, Phoemela Barranda, Donita Rose, Ana Roces, Ms. Girlie Rodis, among others, don’t ask me where was Gretchen Barretto, lol….food was catered by Margarita Fores (Cibo,Pepato) and cupcakes from Sonja’s Kitchen.

And speaking of Gretchen Barretto, she allegedly blamed Ruffa’s secretary who is the one who revealed all that happened in the Dusit Hotel credit card issue.

Hala, ang title!…lol..Well, i was suppose to write about ABS-CBN news anchor and Umagang Kay Ganda host, Bernadette Sembrano getting hitched last June 12, 2008, Philippine Independence Day, to one of the Philippine Independence’s illustrious descendant, Kawit, Cavite vice mayor Emilio “Orange” Aguinaldo IV, great-grandson of the late former President Emilio Aguinaldo, who declared Philippine Independence in Kawit. The wedding was held at Chapel on the Hill in Nasugbu, Batangas.

Yes, Bernadette Sembrano is not new to scandals. Only, her name was used in the lewd photo scandal but it was not really her but sexy star Ynez Veneracion. The showbiz intriga then, this happened in 2004 (!), was that before becoming a respected broadcast journalist, Bernadette posed naked in a painting session by artists from the University of the Philippines. It turned that the photo was photoshopped and her face was put in place of actress Ynez Veneracion’s body who actually did pose for the nude art session.

This is a blast from the past. I just want to give it to the people who are searching like crazy for the Donita Rose scandalous pic. Donita Rose already acknowledged this in a book published in 2007. The book is entitled, This Is My Story, a joint project of the Cityland Foundation, Inc. and OMF Literature, Inc. It is actually a compilation of stories by different personalities and Donita Rose story is in one called, “Shining Like A Star.”  In it, Donita talked about her rise to fame from being discovered while watching That’s Entertainment live to her hanging out with the wrong friends, which led to that infamous scandalous photo of her in Singapore.

In the book, Donita Rose narrated her turning point that led her to discover the Lord:

Pero minsan daw na na-high siya on drugs sa isang party, nakita ni Donita ang isa sa iniinom nila na may label na Red Devil. Pagtingin niya raw sa mga tao sa club, lahat sila, butas ang puso. Ibig sabihin, wala na silang kaluluwa. Hindi raw siya nagha-hallucinate, pero ‘yon ang nagbukas ng isip niya, na ipinakita ng Diyos sa kanya.

Pagkatapos nito ay nagpasya si Donita bumalik ng Pilipinas, pero ang sumalubong sa kanya ay ang Internet scandal kasama ang ilan pang local actresses. Para sa kanya, ‘yon na ang biggest blow sa buhay niya. Ilang araw niya itong iniyakan at humingi siya ng tawad sa Diyos na matagal din niyang nakalimutan.

After that, good breaks in terms of career and lovelife came. She got her MTV Asia VJ break and eventually a happy family with husband Eric Villarama, and child, JP or Joshua Paul. Donita Rose co-hosts the morning show, “Umagang Kay Ganda.”

Tina Bitanga meanwhile is a former PBA anchor and famous because of an alleged rumor that she was a battered girlfriend of a famous Fil-Am PBA player. She resembles comedienne Giselle Sanchez.

Donita Rose, former MTV Asia VJ, now hosts a segment of ABS-CBN’s morning show, Umagang Kay Ganda. The usual spiel of a tv show host is to announce that they will be back after a commercial break and mentioning the show’s title.

So imagine one such morning when Donita Rose said this, “Magbabalik ang”…..,” Donita turning to the audience expecting it to shout their show, Umagang Kay Ganda, as the one people will shout, unexpectedly got the surprise of her life when the audience in turn shouted Unang Hirit!, Umagang Kay Ganda’ competitor.

This is a death sentence for any show actually. ABS-CBN already reformatted their morning show several times. Umagang Kay Ganda has been on air for several months already.

Firstly, i would say Antoinette Taus guesting last wednesday proved to be hohum, she should be better off not doing showbiz and should think of going back to the States. Ok, that was mean, but sobrang inarte mga sinabi and she can’t even tell the truth.
