Don’t you wanna be Celine Lopez

Kaloka, etoh! look what i stumbled upon, i saw this Celine Lopez Livejournal blog, ( yes, i’m convinced it’s hers) where Celine Lopez described herself as these:

Bio: Hello! Choose your own adventure! Today, I am Celine R. Lopez, It girl-extraordinaire, a Lopez scion, a Philippine Star columnist and now a published author of a collection of my column “Coffee To Cocktails”. Don’t you wanna be me? I bet you do.

No, thanks Celine. lol..Actually the blog was written in 2003 pa, but it seemed like just yesterday with her entries there. Some of it are actually “well written” entries, although Brian Gorell in his expose’ blog, revealed that Celine employs ghost writers. She even had an ominous “Scandale blogs and other spam” entry..isn’t it ironic..

She also has one entry where she categorically, definitively, and surely mentioned someone named Tim as his “Will, the ghey friend” ala Will and Grace. She wrote in the context of “V” his boyfriend being “jealous” of her BFF Tim, “He says I stay in Tim’s condo too much, that I don’t have parties in OUR studio anymore, that even if I’m with V, all I talk about is Tim, that Tim and I talk too much over the fone or texting too much! It makes me so sad because the relationship between a gay man and a woman is not to be meddled with; it’s sacred and honest. We feed off each other’s vibes, we’re peas in a pod, we’re like 2 bath balls in the bathtub of life! I believe my growth as a woman involves the intervention of a ghey man.”

Where is Celine Lopez now? How about Wendy Puyat-Hotung?

Albertito Lopez and Jowee Ann Marquez in the news again

Albertito Lopez and Jowee Ann Marquez revealed to the Philippines recently their relationship. Tito Lopez and Jowee Ann Marquez are controversial figures in Philippine Society. Tito Lopez is the son of former Congressman Albertito Lopez and Emily Lopez and brother to Gucci Gang socialite Celine Lopez. My recent post, Celine Lopez before the scandal, is one of the most popular reads in this blog. Speaking of Celine Lopez, where is she now?

Albertito Lopez and Jowee Ann Marquez

Jowee Ann meanwhile is the daughter of former Paranaque mayor Joey Marquez and former starlet Brenda del Rio. Jowee Ann Marquez figured in the news in 2006, when she admitted taking Chinese slimming pills, Lightsome, in which she went into a coma for several hours as a result of overdosing herself with the slimming pills. Jowee Ann’s sister is teen actress Zia Marquez. Jowee Ann dated actor Mikel Campos ( Captain Barbell with Sarah Geronimo, Qpids, Let’s Go) before. Mikel Campos, 21, is now dating Raine dela Merced, a 38 year-old woman.

Jowee Ann Marquez

Fast forward to 2008, and Jowee Ann and Albertito Lopez are together for 7 months now. There is a 10 year age gap between the two. They met nine years ago when Jowee was 12 and Tito was 22. The 10-year age gap is no problem for them at all. “We enjoy the same stuff. Besides he doesn’t look his age,” Jowee explains. “This is the only relationship that I’m willing to go through hell and back…”

What do they love most about each other? “She keeps me grounded,” Tito says. “She always reminds me to stay humble because I’ve been blessed in so many ways.”

KC Concepcion in Preview Magazine ala Celine Lopez

April 29, 2008 · Filed Under Celine Lopez, Gabby Concepcion, KC Concepcion, Sharon Cuneta · 4 Comments
KC Concepcion is the coverstory in the April 2008 issue of Preview magazine. And in that coverspread, KC Concepcion is sporting a new short hair with bangs. KC is no stranger to the bangs ‘do though, she was photographed last year in Yes! Magazine’s 100 Most Beautiful People with bnags but not in a short hair. Well, KC is a trend-setter so expect the bangs and the short hair to be the new “it”. (Edit: I was told, that it was only a wig that KC was wearing in the Preview shoot).

Meanwhile, after the nasty rumor that KC Concepcion has been seen cavorting with Luis Manzano, or that KC is trying to look like Celine Lopez with this Preview cover, KC is actually doing the good deed by being a United Nations Ambassador of Goodwill plus she’s also busy enriching herself, she just bagged a contract to be the endorser of French skin care line Garnier. And in the Garnier launch, KC Concepcion, also donned a sexy outfit but with elan of course. KC Concepcion is also going full blast with her showbiz career with an album in the offing and a movie under Star Cinema.

Brian Gorell video on ABS-CBN

So this is the reason that my blog traffic spiked and everything Brian Gorell, Celine Lopez and Wendy Puyat-Hotung has been getting traffic. Apparently, ABS-CBN’s TV Patrol World ran a story interview with Brian Gorell himself. But no mention about the names of DJ Montano, Celine Lopez and Wendy Puyat-Hotung was made, only references, which to me is an incomplete story in itself. But it is a leap forward since one of the celebrities involved, Celine Lopez, is reportedly part owner of ABS-CBN. Unlike the US though, where if you’re running a story in a news of public interest, you have to disclose that you have a relationship with the personality/corporation you’re writing/broadcasting about, no such mention was made.

Anyway, here’s the Brian Gorell piece by Gigi Grande, ABS-CBN Australia Bureau chief, straight from Brian Gorell’s home, or soon to be former home:

Ana Theresa Licaros joins the Brian Gorell fray

Ana Theresa Licaros thinks the Brian Gorell, DJ Montano, Tim Yap, Celine Lopez and Wendy Puyat scandals is a ” Dangerous precedent.” Ana Theresa Licaros is the 2007 Bb. Pilipinas-Universe and a law student in the University of the Philippines. ABS-CBN News Online has a very detailed look at the Brian Gorell, DJ Montano, Tim Yap, Celine Lopez and Wendy Puyat scandals today, entitled ” Online libel: Aussie blogger’s victims are helpless” by Carmela Fonbuena. In it, Ana Theresa Licaros recalled her own “libelous” experiences when beauty pageant fans ridiculed her complete with her photos alongside other beauty pageant winners, calling her ‘mukhang barangay tanod.’

Dangerous precedent

Former Bb. Pilippinas Ana Theresa Licaros understands the difficulty of dealing with online libel. After she won the pageant last year, several hardcore pageant fans who were not fond of her began posting critical statements about her in online forums.

Although she recognizes that as a beauty titlist, she has become a public figure, “sadly, some of the posts are bordering on defamation,” she said.

“I found it really bothersome the way they posted my photos and compared these with other beauty pageant winners. Among the less vulgar comments they would say about her was ‘mukhang barangay tanod.’ I was knocked off for being the smart girl. They say that it’s not a quiz bee.”

Aside from currently taking up law in the University of the Philippines , Licaros also finished a broadcasting degree in the same university and graduated summa cum laude.

Licaros consulted Te, who was her professor. Licaros considered filing libel charges against her critics. She went to the extent of tracking the IP addresses of the anonymous persons critical of her. She found out that they usually use just one IP address, which means that her critics may be using an Internet connection at home or in a regular internet café.

Licaros could have asked the help of the authorities to help her track the IP address, until she decided to reconsider filing a case. “Even if I was personally hurt, I decided not to pursue a case. Although I was really tempted,” she said.

Knowing that the laws on cyberspace are still being defined, the lawyer and the media student in her feared that the “result might extend to other areas of speech that I don’t want to be curtailed.”
