Caster Semenya, Nancy Navalta, and Lady Gaga lumped up together would have given you a puzzled look as to why. Well, these people are subject of talk going around questioning whether they are really of the female only gender. In short, Caster Semenya, Nancy Navalta, and Lady Gaga are rumored to be hermaprodites, or individuals having both a female and male reproductive organ.

Caster Semenya is the reigning queen (or king?) of mid distance track and field. As of press time, the IAAF is conducting genetic screening and physical tests due to concerns Caster Semenya does not meet requirements to compete as a woman in the 2009 World Track and Field Championships being held in Berlin, Germany this week, where Caster Semenya representing South Africa has just smashed the world records in the 800 meters and 1500 meters. The Philippines is no stranger to such a controversy, Nancy Navalta was once dubbed as heir-apparent to Asia’s sprint queen, Lydia De Vega, abruptly ended her budding sprinting career after questions surfaced as to her real gender. Lady Gaga, a recent Manila visitor, is of course one of the hottest in popular music nowadays.
