Because of the ‘sexually-charged’ production number on Party Pilipinas, involving among others, Lovi Poe and Rocco Nacino, stars of GMA’s afternoon soap “Yesterday’s Bride,” the fledgling Sunday variety show was placed on probation by the Movie Review and Classification Board (MTRCB). BTW, R&B Prince Jay-R is also seen hot almost shirtless crooning the song the pair danced to. Under the MTRCB rules, when a program is placed on Probation, every episode of any television show is subject to MTRCB review. The responsible officers, director, and producer of Party Pilipinas were also ordered to undergo gender sensitivity training. But at the same breath, the MTRCB also thanked the GMA Network management for its candor, maturity, and cooperation in addressing the Party Pilipinas issue. In recent memory, only the Willie Revillame show Willing Willie was subjected to the same penalty when a kid performed a macho dancing routine; and Showtime caused by judge Rosanna Roces who made controversial statements against teachers and co-judge Vice Ganda.
